These are deadends as far as EARONS is concerned, they have been barking up the wrong tree.
Of course the suspect may have been a rapist, but with the SOL and no DNA this is probably a lost case sadly.
And if any of you are still harboring doubts about whether the victim of this attack has been truthful and accurate in her story, consider this: A second woman and her daughter filed a Sheriff's report about a driver of a green Corvette offered a ride to the teenage daughter in Fair Oaks near Del Campo HS roughly one hour on the same day before the second incident occurred with the student nurse in Carmichael. This teenager refused the ride because the driver seemed creepy and was shaken up enough by the event to have filed a report. The description of the vehicle and the driver matched exactly what the student nurse later reported with the exception of the color of the driver's pants. Clearly there was a predator in a green Corvette on the prowl that day in two different areas that EAR would later strike - whether or not it was actually proto-EAR is yet to be determined.
So IF this perp was in fact EAR before he became EAR, the following clues help narrow down the search:
*Lived in Carmichael in early 1973 near the corner of Walnut and Engle (or the owner of the Corvette did if not the same as the perp)
*Either owned or had access to a 1972-74 green Corvette with a T-Top roof (we suspect that the vehicle was not his, but was borrowed from someone else)
*Was under 21 years old in early 1973 (I believe that he was likely 20 or perhaps 19). This would make him roughly 22-23 years old in June of 1976.
*Based on his probable age and location, he likely graduated La Sierra High School circa 1970 or 1971 (A continuation school or a private religious school are other possibilities.)
*Based on the victim's recollection, we believe that the Billy Mumy composite is the most accurate.
Any or all of the above may be incorrect, but if it is true, then we have enough information to greatly narrow the search for EAR to a much smaller pool of POIs.
