Have we ever seen anyone like JJD in the annals of crime ? I know there have been people who have more murder victims, but we are talking about 100+ burglaries, 50+ rapes and 10+ murders, and still potentially counting.
What keeps gnawing at me is the fact that he was a cop, and I keep asking myself, did he become a cop to better perfect his craft ?
It is very disconcerting to know that a member of LE is one of the most prolific serial criminal in US history.
Based on everything we know and have heard, there seem to have been 3 occurrences in his life which either affected him in a way that changed him going forward or represent triggers to his escalation. I am referring to the alleged rape of his sister when he was 7 while he was there, the cancelation of his engagement by Bonnie, and the shop lifting incident.
I have trouble believing that, if not for these 3 incidents, JJD would never had committed a crime. In order to commit the crimes he is accused of, it has to be in his DNA.
I am very curious to know if JJD contacted or interacted with LE in Visalia or Sacramento while the crime sprees were taking place in those respective cities as a concerned cop for a neighboring town. What leads me to believe he did have inside information was that in the McGowan encounter, EAR would not have known where LE was going to be, because only McGowan and his partner knew. They didn’t share it with anyone (which makes me think McGowan may have suspected another cop also).
His prep work was meticulous, and he left nothing to chance. He utilized techniques used by LE that would only have been known to LE or that became part of his normal operating procedure (how he held a flashlight for example). LE must have suspected more strongly than they are letting on that there was a strong belief that he was LE but they were concerned to say so.
Its like he had inside information. When you couple his training with his ability to speak with neighboring LE and gain confidential information, the public didn’t stand a chance.
So my question is, was he so diabolical that he became a cop for the sole purpose of being able to further his crime spree ? Or at any point in time, did he really want to be a cop ?
