Good points and yes the Glasby angle has been looked at even from the earliest posters and moderators on this board. Of course Glasby has been eliminated as ONS. Still I do believe one of his gang banging friends could in fact be him. Just too many coincidences. Firstly, Glasby was a patient of Dr Offerman. Maybe he went there as a means to get drugs and was rebuffed? He tells his buddies and perhaps one of them really takes it personally! Then there was the link of "Woofy" to Glasby. However we all have heard a lot of here say about this. Was "Woofy" Glasby's dog or was he a stray dog from the area? Or someone else's? The dog is a perfect cover for someone scoping out a house or neighborhood to hit. It makes perfect sense then that he used a similar method in Irvine. Man I was thrown for a loop when you told me there was evidence of a dog in Irvine as well. Then what could be inferred here 1) What does that say about the presence of a dog and the area? Does the dog indicate stability in ONS' life at the time? There was a story about a dog and a strange character in Ventura as well. Something about the Smith's neighbor being confronted by guy with an injured dog. iIs this correct? So that would make 3 locations with the lone attack in Dana Point with no dog. He didn't use a dog at all in Sacremento correct? Perhaps the opportunity presented itself once he left and thought it provided a great cover. Guy walking his dog regardless of time of day keeps people thinking less suspiciously. Then finally the Glasby murder was never fully explained. Things just very strange with that whole group. I am not even bringing up the janitor. Also he uses "Woofy" as a cover for the Offerman attack yet that same night he supposedly beat a poodle to death!!
Is this twisted or what?
That dog's entire existence was a cover for ONS; it's part of his evolving strategies, I'm sure. Think about it: a loner with a dog? On the surface it looks harmless. I bet there were many women who (unknowingly) saw the ONS with the pooch and thought, "awwwww, how cute". Everyone softens when they see a beautiful dog. Plus, I can remember the last time I saw a Bull Mastiff in public, but I don't recall what the owner looked like since my attention's on the pooch.
I know it was discussed in the other thread, but "Woofy" was probably purchased by the ONS after he moved to Goleta in 1979. Would a white german shepherd be that obedient with someone who wasn't its master? Not sure.
