Yes, really good points.  I think what you say seems to be what he usually did but he did bring his own knife from time to time, I kind of guess he usually did that, and I think, and he definitely brought a gun on at least some occasions, and on one if not two occasions he brought a short military m.p. type of bat, there were time he brought a bag with him, I recall zippers being mentioned and I think it was specified in Sudden Terror on one occasion it was thought to be a doctor's type of bag.  I can't recall if that was just an impression or if it was actually seen.  I think the former.  Wasn't it mentioned in HaP that he brought two beers with him?  I wonder if he might have brought the beers from another home in the neighborhood he had been prowling in?  Then we have him wearing a lineman's belt, which I would assume would be used to carry his flashlight, knife, gun?  Oh, and sometimes he brought pre-tied ligatures, shoelaces and twine, and other times he used the victim's own shoelaces.  So like EVERYTHING else in this case, it is not cut and dried.  So frustrating.

It's also mentioned that they found a couple of empty cans of Dr. Pepper next to the garage of one crime scene that did not belong there. There are plenty of examples of him drinking soda and/or beer outside and inside of homes, but I've never heard of him using the restroom which is surprising given that he used just about everything else. When he went outside during attacks, could he have been relieving himself? You'd think they would have found urine if that was the case.

I'd be willing to bet that no single item was necessarily his, down to the shirt on his back. It's as if he had no identity and just picked up and carried everything around him like a human tornado.

I always liked the idea he carried his "kit" in a belt, likely a tool belt.
