You are right...anyone with a blue chip stamp would be OLD. I have two sisters who both are interested but also are distanced from my interest in the VR . Neither of them live in Visalia, and neither know how deep and how much time I spend and have spent.

I am not necessarily fearful, but I have ALWAYS been aware of my surroundings. we have security and cameras, etc.

Good morning dengas, Another thought...you were cleaning out your mother's home before putting it on the market, right?  There were a number of people helping you. Could it be that this stamp actually came from your mother's home? One thing I have done when cleaning out drawers for instance, especially when moving, is to empty the drawer and then take the drawer that might have a bit of debris still in the drawer and turn it upside down over a trash container and hit the bottom of the drawer before I wipe the drawer clean.  If a lot of people were working fast and and just throwing things out and emptying drawers it seems possible that the stamp could have come from your mom's home and fell out and blew into the bush or possibly someone was carrying a box out of the house and it blew out into the bush?   Do you think this is a possibility?  Did you question those that were helping you about spotting any such stamps in your mother's house.

However having your cars torched adds another whole element to this.  How many people have ever had their cars torched.  I certainly never have and don't know anyone who has.  Yet the car torching took place  a long time ago right? or when did it? 

Dengas do you still live in Visalia?  This incident did not take place in your own neighborhood but your mother's neighborhood so that is another thing to contemplate.  

I'm hoping that there is a logical explanation for this and not a nefarious one.

That's a good point. Do you remember anyone with a dumpster in the driveway or the front of the other houses recently? It's large enough piece or cardboard that it isn't going to get blown away too easily, and if it was neighborhood trash, it probably originated fairly close to Dengas' mother's house.

Dengas I live near Sacramento and you're in luck...I gamble (poker) everywhere around here that spreads games, Thunder Valley, Black Hawk, Cache Creek, etc., etc. I have never been given any blue chip stamps...and I know what they are (my grandmother used to collect them back in the 70's...she always got them at the supermarket and never, I'm sure at casinos.). Somebody in the SacSD is pulling your leg.

ONE BLUE CHIP STAMP. The more I think about it, the clearer it becomes that someone put it there. NONEf my friends are sick enough to try to scare me in such a manner.

The house next door was recently vacated, and the owners came in to do some cleaning up (rental). The only problem is that there is a cyclone fence and a vacant lot between that house and the rose bush.

It seemed a bit far fetched.  but now I would ask...why would someone (Archangel???) who receives emails say that they did some research and that is what they found out...that blue chip stamps are handed out at gaming centers?

Yes, D Ritter. I sent a picture of it to Sacramento, and I got a response that whoever received the message up there did a little research and found that some Indian Gaming Centers pass out blue chip stamps.

I find the stamp find very creepy, since the stamp redemption stores closed in most towns in the late 1970's.  Could it have blown into the yard from a neighbor's yard sale or had anyone in the neighborhood recently moved?

It is very very odd and disconcerting, to say the least, since we know we had the strange young man who both stole stamps and wanted to redeem them, possibly for jewelry for his mother.  Did they ever release a comp for the man who frequented the redemption store?

The stamp looks much less weather-beaten than the cardboard. In the 1970s there was a Blue Chip Stamp Redemption Center at Fair Oaks Blvd. and Arden Way - not far from the "Del Dayo" area, in which EAR attacked.

Also, he recently moved, but there were disturbing occurrences in the neighborhood where he lived with his very elderly mother; odd things like patio furniture of a neighbor being turned around, facing out; seen peeping; his mother would lock him out and call police; shoved another old guy off a bike.
