Handwriting Analysis of Three Pages Of Text Found In L.A. Magazine Article
Here’s my wife’s analysis of the handwriting. The samples are from the General Custer page and the two pages about the sixth grade teacher. The scribbled writing on the back of the map will be analyzed separately.
Keep in mind there is no guarantee that these three pages of text were written by the EAR/ONS. There is no linked chain that connects the writing to the perp. So this analysis may pertain to an individual who is quite innocent.
I have quoted her report verbatim, and without any attempt to edit, editorialize, or question her conclusions.

Information contained in this summary is my opinion based on my knowledge of Graphoanalysis. The following conclusions were reached through the study and evaluation of the samples given me.
Comparison Of The Two Samples
Both the Gen Custer sample and the 6th grade teacher sample were probably written by the same person, and probably a male, but at different periods in the person’s life. I feel that the Gen Custer sample was written first, and then some time later, the 6th grade teacher sample. Both samples appear to be an adult’s handwriting. I do not see any significant evidence of children’s writing. The main difference in the two samples is that of pressure. The 6th grade sample is more splotchy and less light. I take this to mean that the person has incorporated deeper, more long lasting feelings and emotions than are evident in the Gen Custer sample. Somewhere along the way the person may have gotten hurt feelings or been mentally abused in some way, relative to the earlier sample.
Personality Details
These samples suggest that this person is by nature highly emotional. Feelings come quickly and easily. The person acts promptly and often on impulse. He or she will experience a bountiful measure of joy when they are pleased and will be transformed into a storm cloud of wrath when rubbed the wrong way. He or she is subject to great highs and terrible lows. These are the qualities of a good actor. There is a tendency to be high-strung.
The writer likes to think and act on a large scale of endeavor. The bigger the project, the better. This person would not be happy doing sedentary work. Often impatient and resents unsolicited advice.
The person likes physical activity. Has vivid impressions of colors and music. Physically strong with good body tone and functioning. Has a competitive spirit, however I do not see much interest in organized sports.
This is a very intense person who feels deeply. Person absorbs emotional experiences and is influence by them long after some incident. Forceful attitude. Materialistic. Not modest. Sensual. May be prejudiced at times.
I see lots of resentment. Likely carries a grudge. Some past experience resulted in hostile feelings. Has some kind of self-protective shell. On-guard against real or imagined hurts. Defensive. Person prefers to remain distant from others.
Person is extremely moody. Wide swings in mood is one of the most dominant characteristics in this writing. Pessimistic at times. There is a strong tendency toward emotional instability. Tense. Others may not know how to react to this person day to day or even hour to hour.
Undulating baseline combined with oval letters with single or double knots suggest deceit, both to self and to others. But this could mean a desire to be somebody their not, like you would expect for an actor. Certain letters plunge well below zone 3 suggesting sexual fantasies and possibly anti-social behavior. Other signs imply rebellion against rules and conventions.
Intensely interested in sex. Person directs his or her thoughts and attentons to the material-physical plane of life, and especially toward sex. Most of the time this strong sex drive may not be satisfied. There is a sense of sexual frustration.
Person is not very talkative, reticent, and really cautious in speech. Not gullible. Person rationalizes actions. She or he knows things that are intentionally kept from others. Secretive.
Person is independent, often critical of others and serious. Uses force of will on others maybe a little to much. Would like being a boss. Can seem overbearing at times. Expects others to do as he or she commands. Distaste for being in a subordinate position.
This person has a forceful will. Not relaxed. There’s a desire to undertake plans and carry them out on his or her own. Likes to be noticed, again like an actor.
Highly analytical. Wants to know the if’s, why’s, and how’s of a situation. Sifts and sorts information well. Has abundant curiosity. Factual. This is the type of person that would do well in scientific work if the person were more emotionally stable. Ambitious, but ambitions probably thwarted due to inability to get along with others.
Has a logical mind rather than intuitive. Uses practical thinking methods at arriving at conclusions. Does not take things for granted. Is wary of surprises.. Person is well equiped to solve problems.
Person is loyal to what she or he believes is right. There’s a loyalty to principles and to family. There is quite a bit of pride in these samples. I sense that the person is proud of some family member.
Very attentive to details. Good memory. Efficient and precise. Not lazy
Admires people for their accomplishments rather than their possessions. It’s possible that a close family member was a big achiever. Not very imaginative. Likes solitude. Self-contained.
An obvious lack of interest in philosophy or religion.
Modern in outlook. Makes no effort to conform. Shuns established customs.
Thank you for allowing me to analyze this sample. An interesting person.
