RE: PILOT Theory---
I'm new and finally learned to use the "search" button! Anyway, I figure that EARONSGSK would need some "trigger" that started the process of his committing a rape and/or murder time after time. Something in the news would set him off, perhaps, and he would commit to attack a prior developed person/target. I started with the theory that something he saw on TV, read in a newspaper or heard on radio might be the trigger. I decided to look for commonality.
So, I got a timeline of the "ONS" from Wikipedia. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Original_Night_Stalker).
Then I found a front-page newspaper historical site site and selected "California". You select the month, date and year to get small thumnails of California newspapers. Example: (https://www.newspapers.com/search/#lnd=1&ymd=1986-05-02&p_place=CA ) You cant read the articles without joining.
Interestingly near the dates of his crimes I found a lot of aviation business headlines within days of the Wiki timeline mentioned above. A PanAm jumbo jet crash with Lufthansa, a PanAm helicopter crash in NY, announcements of air marshals assigned to flights, a Coast Guard mid air collision, etc., a hijacking completed and a hijacking broken up, etc., the Jonestown incident (people investigating Jonestown shot near an airplane). Subsets of headlines of other possible triggers came up in the news days prior to crimes too: Growth of crime among women was a headline as were headlines of murders in other parts of the State of California. I suppose the Sacramento Bee had those local and regional stories published in their paper, too, and perhaps EARONSGSK was triggered by them.
So I feel obliged to get a subscription to the Sac Bee and go back through all those near date issues and read what was going on in the news! I'm retired anyway so it will give me something to do.
