Message for my POI, are you still reading the boards?

Being(or claiming to be) currently a member of LE doesn't entitle you to anything. Do your superiors know what your doing? Is this a concerted effort on the part of LE? Is this a sanctioned and active investigation by a legitimate LE body?

If the answers to those questions is no, then youre just a guy on a message board just like the rest of us. But you feel you are entitled to some modicum of defference because of your vocation. If this is the best LE can currently muster by way of investigation, the future does not look promising.

There are better options. You could say the thing you came to say, of course. Describe the person, the places, and the circumstances which lead you to believe this person is responsible. You could round up some of his refuse and submit it for DNA testing. You could round up some familial DNA. You could ask for help from other resourceful members to establish this person's whereabouts at key times, or any other pertinent information.

All those ideas are better than what you are doing and I didn't have to engage in all that life consuming nonsense you described above. This cryptographic game your playing is probably the worst way to go about this. If you're well intentioned and really serious about what you're doing, and you honestly think this is the guy, just go for it, man. If I thought I knew the identity of a wanted serial killer and was serious about aprehending him and giving families justice after all these years, I would definitely not go about it this way. Seems lazy. You think you know who this guy is and this is the best you can do for the long suffering victims and their families? Kind of insulting to them in a way, don't you think? They deserve better.

If you are in LE as you claim, don't you have access to all sorts of resources that we as mere citizens do not? Use those.

Hey I thought I made it very clear for you to stop talking to me!!! you need to stop talking to me I made it clear no further exchanges between you and me would occur. I have zero interest in your opinions... Mitchell's comment seems like a genuine, well-thought out critique of lufttec's approach so I will let mitchell's comment stand as is. Agreement or disagreement with his critique is irrelevant.

lufttec ... since your approach is highly unconventional you kinda have to expect you're going to get some harsh feedback. But you do have a right to express your approach, in this thread.

Posters in general ... unless you have something constructive to contribute, simply bypass this thread, and let lufttec pursue this on his own.

lufttec ... how long do you think this thread should remain active? I would think there would be a time limit. Once we have reached that limit we can assume your poi is either not here on the board, or is not going to respond.  It has already been about 2 weeks.

Can you give me a deadline on this?

Give me one more week and half, I have had a few contacts that are promising on an informational level. I know that seems long but that's the time limit I have been giving myself. Thank you for your understanding.

Its not the interaction with posters, the interaction is why I'm here, its when I am hampered having a discussion and that poster over reactions. Its impossible to communicate with someone who I have to watch every word I say, I encourage posters to call me out and help me think of new things with the way I'm thinking. I have a thick skin and would have taken the comment and used it to help me better understand a difference of opinion, I'm just keeping up my end when I said I would leave it alone and I thought the same was agreed.

If your Le why don't you find a discarded cigarette or drink and test it for dna match? Kinda strange playing this footsy type game I mean I want to see it work but doubt it will. I don't think some person who's committed over 150 crimes is just going to respond to someone's post on the web I mean if he was that stupid we would have caught him years ago

Exactly. It would be relatively easy for a determined person to unknowingly collect someone's DNA. You could simply go through their trash once they put it out to the curb. Making posts on the internet letting this person know you're after them might make them think twice about what they discard though.
