I would think the modern world is so different from the time he hunted that he wouldn't dare kill again. Even his hubris and the current fbi/media probably isn't enough. Unless he could ensure his method was so different it wouldn't be linked and there could be no dna possibility. People are eminently more trackable today. That one serial killer that drove 1000 miles in a rental from an airport using only cash still got caught.
I believe he is right in the thick of it hiding in plain sight. He is just not suspected.
Though I would have to agree that he most likely does not google 'earons' himself but may have others do it for him under some
other guise but never revealing it is him. He can't help but have an interest or be curious about what is being said about him.
He would be the type person who would explain it all away to someone like you and I who take an interest in the case. He would
probably be of the opinion that EARONS finally met his fate when an alert homeowner blew him to pieces with a shotgun. I'm
sure he preaches to young people about how dangerous it would be to break into someone's house given that most
homeowners own at least one firearm for protection against such criminal activity. If he is still alive I can see him working
for a home security company.
