I find it incredibly arrogant that some of you are going out of your way to discard his use of cars. Unbelievable. You're literally just picking clues that fit your theory and ignoring others 'cos they don't. That's practically the definition of bad investigation work... you just need to frame an innocent guy and you're all set.Not everyone agrees that this feller had 'special access' to numerous cars. It's definitely an interesting angle worth looking into and if you feel particularly strongly about looking into it that's great.
PS
There is plenty of debate about the other items you mentioned: sketches, phone calls, etc. That's why these boards exist...so people can discuss and debate the many clues, hopefully in a friendly manner.
Last week someone insisted EAR rode his bike about 100 - 200 miles each day back and forth just to get to the neighborhoods..... because he had big calves. He then ridiculed everyone who questioned his theory although he didn't have a clue about the case.
I don't feel particularly strongly about this compared to the rest of this case..... I feel extremely strongly about everything that has to do with this investigation.
There are no one blatantly denying the other parts of this case that you mention. Not in the same degree. The sketches may not be good, but no one ever says "the sketches are not even EAR" and "we can't trust the witnesses description of his disguises at all".... and if someone does that they will have a solid argument or they wont be taken seriously.
Ironically many of the people who don't believe he used cars says he rode a bike.
How many times was he spotted fleeing on a bike? 2 times...? 3?
How many times did he actually steal a victims car?
People focus on the stuff that fits their theory and ignore the rest. That really annoys me.... and that is what the conflict is about.
PS: It should be in a friendly and constructive manner.... passionate and serious.... but when someone addresses me with "I think you may have a reading comprehension problem" that friendly manner goes out the window. I'm not tolerating that kind of disrespect. There are plenty of folks in this debate that have a different opinion than me, but we don't have to insult each other, so we have a constructive dialogue.
