The victim was walking home from a shift at American River Hospital. At the corner of Walnut and Engle she was pick up by a driver in a green corvette. The driver was wearing a white tee shirt, light blue cords, and black military boots. After he convinced her he knew where she lived because he visited the man across the street she eventually took the ride. This was the longest 6 hours of her life.
The car was a green corvette every time the victim tried to open a car door to escape he would lock the doors. She tried to climb out the roof but her pulled her back in. The car also had a manual transmission. The victim did identify someone from a photo line up but in the time it took to get that done the corvette ha been painted from green to black.
The person who painted it also gave the poi an alibi. The poi lived within a few blocks of where the victim was abducted.
Prior to and after the abduction the victim had had several unexplained incidents at her house.
Items in her house were moved. Her doll the size of a 6yo child was moved around the house and eventually taken A dress was moved and left with white stains. A small ring was taken out of a dish of jewelry. Photos were turned around backwards. The cat that she and her roommates were watching got out when no one was home and all doors and windows were closed. The day that she was abducted she was walking because her car would not start even thought it worked fine the day before.
As far as why she did not report this before. She did make an initial report in 1973 she suffered from PTSD following this event and moved to a small isolated area with no news coverage so never saw any composites of ears. When she first saw a show about ear sac sheriff was contacted. Nothing was done. She later contacted Michelle still nothing was really done. It took Shelby to have any progress made.
