Hidden address on the back of punishment map?

Maybe if EAR was a supply teacher or freelance sports coach (if such jobs existed at that time) then he may have worked at a range of different unis and colleges (hence the need to write down the address).  Or maybe he was a technician, repair man or janitor, who covered multiple sites.

As has been suggested many times in the past, it's also possible that he was a student.

Another possibility IMO is that EAR had no link to the college and was just trawling for potential victims - quite a few serial offenders have been known to target places such as teacher's housing or nurse's housing, or universities in general, due to the large number of young women based there.

I think he drew the map in the Fall of '78 so something about "teacher housing ~ 11 20 th" may well correlate to the start of the academic year. Perhaps there was a school orientation for new students at which an attractive teacher caught EAR's eye, prompting him to follow her home. During this time he was very methodical as a stalker, almost as if he had OCD. It would be great to access Bay Area newspapers and search "campus assaults" from '78 and '79. I could only find '77 newspapers which indicated that there was a student murder in the library, which has remained unsolved. EAR didn't do it IMO but it's creepy nonetheless.

Maybe it was a map of where the campus he was staying on and ways to sneak in/out without being spotted at strange hours of the night? I mean we have always wondered how he was able to roam the streets without anyone noticing. Maybe he was a loner on the college campus who stayed on site and crept out?

According to Port there's evidence for UCSB in the '79 - '80 academic year. The value of the SFSU hidden address is obviously tantalizing, if there was in fact a teacher there. How would he have known that?

Perhaps this Guy works for the school system in some capacity? Access to records,following the academic schedule.  Maybe a student? The Teacher's names at these schools can be learned via the college library,yearbooks,etc. Would be interesting to cross check diff areas North & South to see if any Teachers or Faculty worked in both at the right time.

I was thinking that too but you can't easily explain away the homework, unless he was a student. I think it was new homework ... it would be so risky to haul around old pages of homework from much earlier. And these weren't therapeutic writing exercises. Nobody writes about Gen. Custer as if it's soothing ... this was an assignment. Moreover, the words "teacher" from mad is the word and the punishment page, look identical. If mad is the word had been from long before, you'd expect the script style to have changed even slightly.

He was paranoid that other students, would see the book. Thus the covered-up address on the back of the map and veiled hand-writing, demonstrate also that EAR may have been a student. Unfortunately, IMO before turning in the work, he would wait until the last second to put his name on it.

Yes, so the writings on the "punishment" page (like the writing in question) were written on the back of the paper on which the map was drawn. This is pretty much what the page would look like as a whole, when both sides (pages) are put together (notice: the map is a mirror image since it was drawn on the other side):

Based on her analysis of '78 Spring Break, one can see that '79 Spring Break would match up to the '79 Rancho Cordova attack. I think "teacher housing" is written on the back of the punishment map. Bearing that in mind, underneath "teacher housing" there is visual evidence of a location ending with "th." The 11 20th which I believe is hidden, coincides with actual teacher housing at San Francisco State University from that time.

And this would play in my badge theory with him being a officer at the university or university personnel. And I say personnel to leave the scope wide open.

Now that is interesting. It is a little more legible. I never bothered with these because they are probably umpteenth generation Xeroxs artefacted to death from jpeg compression. Now you have me rethinking that. I’m thinking a mask can be made from the front and used to kill the bleed through on the back. Have you tried Lucis on it?
