Ok let me explain where this was going,I was born and raised in the bay area and I know the area very well,many back in the 70's referred to Mt. Diablo as El Diablo,the connection is the Mt.Diablo zodiac map.He drew a circle over it,he had a fixation on Diablo(the devil).

You are wrong on the fire hood,please do some research on high heat hoods,the zodiacs type of hood hung in many forestry firefighter stations,I know I was there as a kid,even got to wear one. Mt. Hamilton was in what Mt. range?You guessed it...the Diablo.No finger pointing here(yes I am) but my father was a firefighter at Mt. Hamilton at the time of these murders and........ wait for it,he was SDA. He knew every fire trail,every back road like the back of his hand.

And they werent pinned to just that location,they fought fires from watsonille to napa and even farther north refilling pump tanks at berryessa all the time.

If EAR was a skinny serial killer that had ties or was SDA why would that expel him from the equation as being in the same cult as my heavyset,close cropped hair cutted,black rim wearing firefighting,hood wearing father that was mildly club footed. I fail to see the reason for shutting the door on this theory.

One of the zodiac forums that had this presented to them were actually floored by this and posted a sticky for possible suspect. So the fact that two serial killers with possible SDA connections,using the same word Diablo on two different maps in the same area isn't an eye opener,then I must be at the wrong place here....

I might add also that many investigators thought the zodiac symbol to be cross hairs. It is actually the eye of wotanlook at the symbols in the pic,they are part of his code. This Aryan god is recognized by witchcraft,satanic cults,and many other forms that worship the earth and the nature in it. the zodiac wasn't wearing a cross hair on his chest with the hood to identify himself,notice wotans get up?

Thanks.  I knew you had gone to the area and posted pics.  I just didn't remember if you went to Diablo West and attempted to compare it to the map or not.  I don't see where you noted any big differences between Diablo West and the map, but maybe you haven't posted it.  I would be interested in that.  I will be going there and making a comparison, soon.

Thanks.  I knew you had gone to the area and posted pics.  I just didn't remember if you went to Diablo West and attempted to compare it to the map or not.  I don't see where you noted any big differences between Diablo West and the map, but maybe you haven't posted it.  I would be interested in that.  I will be going there and making a comparison, soon.

I tried to figure it out, by attempting the larger buildings and then going from there to the neighborhood.  The map doesn't match up with any of those buildings (the most similar is the Crossroads Shopping Center, but the direction it takes you doesn't match up to the EAR Map).  Also, if you want to see the specific routes I took (I looked at that area pretty extensively), you can view the maps I posted in the photos thread above.  PM me if you need anything.  I'm always here to help you out if you need it.

I think the best idea for the board in general is to build a POI around facts. Speculation is very important, as one's speculation may be someone else's reality. But there seems to be so many ways to get lost looking for this guy. So in this case if you have a POI that fits the profile, find a yearbook photo of him. If it's still a reasonable match, check his background with members here, then look at his address history. If successful to this point, contact the FBI, and start deeper researches through Google, etc. Doing it this way you can multi-thread your search, without getting too involved with one POI. If every member out here had 2 or more POI's going at the same time, and never got 'stuck' on one guy, our productivity would greatly increase.

I don't believe there are many facts to this case,all the public has is what media could report,and what LE wanted to divulge. This reeks of cult,SDA and coverup. The only way this is going anywhere from the dead horse it's become,is the SDA connection and others coming out and going public with it.Outside of that,it's merely theory.

Zodiac put his mark ( the "crosshairs") on Mt. Diablo on a map. EAR (maybe) drew a map of a development that may be Diablo West in Stockton. Neither ever wrote the word Diablo on any of their writings. To make the claim that they both were obsessed with the Devil/Diablo is going way past what the evidence actually says.

And the symbols on the above picture do not match any of Zodiac's symbols on his ciphers (except the crosshair symbol).

I think you are seeing what you want to see, not following the evidence. Sorry, I am not seeking to rain on your parade, but I think that you have a square peg and a round hole.

I used the phrase "crosshairs" only make clear which symbol I was speaking of. I have no idea if Z meant it as crosshairs, a surveyor's benchmark, the leader on a movie film, Wotan's symbol or the logo of the Wu Tang Clan.

Have you solved this case yet? Anybody else here solved this case yet? I'm throwing a different spin on it.And I have something you don't,I was raised an SDA,in the bay area,at the time of all of these murders. I know the cult,I heard the talk in circles.And I'm close to being in contact of pics and letters that might hold something of interest.

The killer could have been your dad for all we know,you could be EAR who knows? These were connected,I believe this. You walk your way and I'll walk mine. I've been in the belly of that beast though,you people have no idea what the SDA cult consists of. Cold,calculated psychopaths in the bay area.I've been threatened openly on facebook by SDA to shut my mouth or bad things could happen and they weren't talking legally either.I know how they work.

I am trying to understand what you are saying because the quoted sentence seems to be saying that your father is/was Zodiac. Is this correct or is the quote not clear?
