Been looking (lurking?) for months. Read Shelby and Crompton's books. Decided to register after Paula Zahn's show last night. Am excited about the expected 5 part series. As others have said.. there is too much here to treat it in one 60 minute show.
My impression? he had 1. Trained/competed in a non-team sport (bicycling, track, diving, possibly gymnastics) and washed out for behavior and lack of training discipline. 2 Tried police or military. Washed out for behavior. 3.Gravitated to security jobs. Very possibly worked with a firm that provided security to gated communities. Interfaced with a lot of real estate people in their visits/showings. And spent a lot of time observing homes, their residents and how people tend to fixed patterns of work/home life. Also observed home construction. 4. Devoted a lot of time to weapons use/handling. 5. Eagerly engaged in all the training available to a security guard.
Wanna be cop, wanna be soldier, wanna be alpha male. Bisexual but hates and cannot accept that. Oh and the total lack of empathy or remorse of a psychopath. Frustrated that he cannot translate his high intelligence into career attainment. And he is substance dependent.
Alive? maybe. But he led a high risk life. Likely ended in a traffic accident or drug OD. Or a simple drug linked heart attack. Suicide is a real possibility. But with the combination of substance dependence and firearms-so is a self-inflicted accidental shooting.
If alive he may be incarcerated. More likely however is disabled and living on SSI/SSD in a low end setting . He worked but did not make a lot of money so he would probably have concurrent Social Security Disability and SSI Disability entitlement. Lives alone as he can not sustain a long-term relationship.. The disability award likely was a combination of psychiatric conditions and a physical condition related to his lifestyle. He fondles his trophies from better days. And glories in the limelight. (He would have watched the show last night.)
Would he lurk on these boards? Somehow, I think he would get frustrated..and he has had a lot of frustration in his life.
I look forward to the increased media attention. But I hope they do not Hollywood it up. Not encouraged by the Zahn show.Did they have to put a Beretta 92 in his hand?? Beretta made a 9mm then ...but he used a 1911. The Beretta however, does look impressive. And he used a S&W mid-frame (K-frame) revolver. On the show they had to show a full lugged revolver because it looks "badder." The S&W L frame which had a full lug did not exist in 1976.
If I have repeated a lot of what has already been said. I apologize.
Best to you all.
