Unsolved double murder-Possible Maggiore connection??

A couple of notes. Auburn-Folsom rd, where the shootings took place, comes out on the north end in town within a mile or two from where DeAngelo was living at the time.
There was also prior burglary activity in this area, whether or not it was the work of DeAngelo, it’s highly likely the prior burglaries and the shooting of the utility workers was connected.
There’s a threshold a criminal has to cross to go from committing a burglary to executing two people. The average common criminal if spotted committing a burglary, is going to flee. The utility employees weren’t confronting the burglars, which changes the dynamics, they were trying to flee. Most criminals would’ve taken that opportunity to do the same...in the other direction.
Unless, you’re a recognizable public figure (like a cop in the Auburn PD) and the only way to remain anonymous is to execute 2 witnesses. That’s not the behavior of a common burglar, that’s someone who has killed in the past.
And it was someone proficient with firearms. Two shots from a high powered weapon.
But, neither employee to the best of my knowledge had any connection to Auburn and I feel strongly if this was the work of Joe DeAngelo he either knew or had meet the female employee enough to have concerns she could identify him, or DeAngelo had something identifying him. The Maggiore murders were likely the same reason, that Katie recognized DeAngelo.
We know from his VR activities, he had no problem attacking in his own backyard, and murdering people when confronted.
Carla Burkart was born in Fresno in 1948 (edit to 1958) so the age gap between her and DeAngelo is not that much (edit to add greater then initially thought), a couple years.
Carla Burkart was class 1976 @ Bullard High school in Fresno. She would’ve only been in Citrus Heights for a short time before the murders.
DeAngelo would’ve been in Exeter & Visalia while Burkart was in High School in Fresno. For those unfamiliar, Fresno is 43 miles from Vasalia. JJD would’ve travelled through Fresno between Vasalia and Sacramento (including RC & Auburn).
I’d like to know if Burkart had a high school job at somewhere like a Denny’s in Fresno, where DeAngelo might have frequented or eaten at, and they got to recognize each other. Might be a long shot, but worth exploring if there were any ties between Burkart and DeAngelo.
