A member here on the Proboards recently posted in another thread that there were problems with the brass at the Sacramento County Sheriff's in the 1970's and 1980's.
The specific problems and brass, however, were not disclosed.
I found one article by the Sacramento Bee Editorial Board about Sacramento County Sheriff Scott Jones from 2016. An employee disclosed that Jones allegedly sexually harassed her and was physically inapproriate toward her. Other people filed a lawsuit about misconduct too, however she did not join in the lawsuit. Sacramento County lost the lawsuit and had to pay out $3.6 million dollars.
Does anyone who was in Sacramento County have anything to add about the specific problems of the Sac Sheriff's law enforcement culture from the 1970's to the present time? Other links?
In my opinion, Jones should recuse himself from involvement in the EAR cases. Perhaps Orange County should take the lead. They have four unsolved EAR/GSK murders and they saved all of their evidence. They also have EAR's DNA from the crime scenes linking the murders together. And O.C. has a solid investigative team.

A young sheriff pulled over a friend of top brass and gave him a legal dui charge. The person was 2 times the limit.
Top brass called in the the young sheriff's boss up to the third floor. There was suggestion that they were going to ruin the young sheriff's career to save their friend.
Anyway, the watch commander or whatever the title that the man had who was the go between the deputies and brass, went down stairs ,made a call to the DA's office immediately. He transfered the young sheriffto thevD.A.s office. Haha.
There was no ruining the young man's life to save someone affiliated with the brass. This was 70's to 80s.
Keep riding my arse, Locard.
The sheriff was also Carol Daly's boss when she started out but I won't repeat the story I heard . It was a tough time for the first women of the department that went on patrol.
Anyway, you might want to accept the fact that I am affiliated with a son of a famous sheriff that the top brass was afraid of. He was fbi trained and smarter than them.Hence, the transfer of the young sheriff who went on to be a well known da investigator.
This sheriff also told his son that the top 7 guys knew who EAR was.
this sheriff was given a copy of the zodiac files to give fbi his opinion.
