Well, I'd this idiot went to college during his crime spree, he probably did not study much. In order to do all the stalking and preparing and driving and running away and training and cycling..etc.etc., he probably did not have time to study for tests and write papers or do any research. I went to college for many years and had just enough time to do my bodybuilding and study and do my research. This guy probably worked a menial job, and spent all his extra time stalking and prowling with very little time left over for an education. I may be wrong, but unless he already had the degrees, you can bet he did not have time to spend going to classes and traveling back and forth to the university and studying and labs and everything else that goes along with college life.
Plus, somewhere along the line, he would have been peeping in dorms or breaking into the rooms just because, at least one of the girls would have been a potential victim to him. Too many opportunoties for him to commit crimes with all the 20-30 year old women on the premises. I just do not buy the college student idea.
I am with you on that. My main point is that he put so much time into crime-prowling, peeping, breaking/entering, stealing, trespassing, rape, murder...etc..etc.. No telling what other crimes that LE has no idea about. He could have been committing crimes all along with another MO. This guy thought about what he was doing all day with complete obsession. He was 100% criminally intent even when he was at work or at home- his mind was on the next crime. No way that dude had time for school or even relationships while he was committing the crimes. If he did have a female companion, she probably did not question his movements and was very accepting to his lifestyle as she knew it.
I believe that if EAR had a companion, and she was the person in charge, there would have been altercations between them, and she may have spied on his movements and knew what he was doing. If that was the case, there might be a missing woman or women in California that could be traced to being his companion or accidental deaths that could link back to him. He would not have wanted to just kill his companion in the home and have the police ask a million questions. He is the kind of guy who would travel to the Grand Canyon and push her over the side- Oops!- and go back home or move to another town. The dude had issues, and nothing is beyond the scope of imagination.
