The issue is one of her credibility. And that credibility problem extends to the entire Orange County LE establishment, including the Sheriff and D.A.

Well McGruff, this case isn't a popularity contest, to see how many "likes" a poster gets or how many dozens of posters disagree with one dissenting poster. A popularity contest can quickly devolve into ... group-think.
And a lot of the elements in the EAR/ONS case have already descended to the level of group-think.
Part of the function of this message board is to allow dissenting points of view.

Drifter, I'm on board 100% with you on allowing for different opinions. I think people can and should have lively discussions on this board. I respect your opinion, and can agree with you to the extent that the credibility of Ms.Hong and everyone involved in this investigation will be brought into question if GSK istried for his crimes. Where we part ways is when you refer to my (and other attorneys') legal assessment of this situation as "group think." I have been a criminal trial attorney for 15 years, and I know the rules of evidence fairly well. Locard is also an attorney. This is no more "group think" than if some oncologists came on here and Posted about cancer. The rules of evidence vary in different states, and different judges will reach different conclusions when interpreting those rules, but I can guarantee you that GSK's lawyer can't question Ms.Hong on the stand about some other defense attorney's unproven and unsubstantiated defense THEORY in some other case. If GSK is caught, and IF the case were to go to trial, of course the defense will attack DNA, since it will likely be the ONLY evidence against him. Witnesses certainly can't ID him after all these years when they barely saw him to begin with. So yes, Ms. Hong and LE will be attacked, but not because of this particular issue that gave rise to this thread.
