I think he did track, and field sports. Hurdles, long jump, pole vault. As survivors say he was athlecticly built, and had very big string calves.

Yes, agree, construction, like detail work, custom kitchen cabinets, counters, smaller stuff, don't get so dirty, but squatting, bending to cause legs to be stronger. Also, Maybe a seamstress, sewing, fixing things like parachutes, equipment in military, and for personal, business? Didn't I read they found fabric theads on one crime scene??

The fibers found on a body weren't from any ritual, but came from his clothing (or crime kit) and were left against a victim(s) during the attack.

He likes to follow electrical towers. Good aerial views higher off the ground on a pole or tower or in a bucket. Blue paint- could have come from the blue bucket on commercial electricians truck or commercial electrical signage. Electricians have numerous flashlights. The black doctor’s bag- could have been black electrician’s bag. The tool belt could have been an electrician/ lineman’s belt. Electricians are good at tying knots. Most electricians are psychically fit, good at climbing and have athletic legs and arms. Set hours with most weekends off. Electricians can travel for work if they want to.

I think he had a number of different jobs . Never nothing serious cause he spent a lot of time prowling for new victims and neighborhoods . Probably a lot of cash work , under the table stuff . No paper trail kinda guy .

Obviously just hazarding a guess:

Garbageman.

Why? If EAR was a garbageman, he'd be able to:


1) Glean unique insights into the lives of the people along his route - and it would help him familiarize himself with the area.

2) He could scope out potential target houses on his routes from the back of a truck. One can tell from garbage if one's intended target lives alone, has kids, is a man or a woman, etc. He could use that info to make an inventory of the best houses to hit along certain routes, along certain streets.

3) He'd be able to work really early mornings (i.e. he could go prowling BEFORE his shifts) and have the ability to see who gets up really early on his route.

4) He'd be able to assess the parking situation in the neighborhoods in his routes, be able to find escape paths, trails, and backstreets in his neighborhoods without looking out of place.

5) He'd be able to find places to stash his bikes or his kits (who's gonna be able to tell if a bag containing flashlights, masks, and rope belongs in a garbage can or not?)

6) A bunch of victims reported that he smelled really bad.

7) Garbage can also be a steady supply for items he used in his rapes: shoelaces, clothing, etc.

8) Working on a garbage truck is hard, physical labor - a good workout every day - and EAR was described as being athletic.

9) Working on a garbage truck gives one many ample opportunities to dispose of crime scene evidence or souvenirs.

10) If garbage cans are large enough, they can be useful hiding places, especially if one is slender and athletic as EAR was described.

11) If people in the neighborhood became personally familiar with him because of his job, he could use that status as a cover.
