Why do you think she publicly dismissed the issue? Port thought she might have just grown tired of the jokes, but that seems like a large identifier to dismiss if you were appealing to wives/girlfriends/partners.

I think part of de-emphasizing the penis came out of the early profile, where psychologists indicated that his penis size was not a factor in apprehending EAR nor was it considered "small" enough to be a deformity.  I never thought I would be discussing penis size on a public board either.  He was most certainly impotent on occasion and relied heavily on masturbation for sexual performance.   Also, these performance problems may have meant that he was attempting to rape with a flaccid or semi-erect penis, which obviously would not compare in size to an erect penis.  I'm glad no one has made this a "poll" topic.

These posts crack me up. I didn't think it was such an odd thing considering... He could change his hair: color/cut/style; He could mask his size with more clothing; Wear boots to appear taller/sneakers to appear shorter; Stop shaving for a month... His goal was power and control, he used a distinctive tool. There would be few people who ever saw that side of him in his "normal" life and a very limited number who would have seen him nude, as he didn't like at all to be looked at. Seems specific and unusual enough to me.

Also, was it ever given serious thought that he might have naturally had an afro? I was thinking about the woman who saw a 'peeper' who fit the most general description in history, except for his afro. Was there anyone who actually saw him outside the ski mask when he hadn't already had it on, smashing his hair down, for potentially a good chunk of time? It is possible to tame one of those when necessary. Redheaded men have been perfecting the art for centuries...

He doesn't necessarily have to sport the perm full time. A number of posters here believe he may have employed disguises when conducting prowling and/or surveillance.

I think he had something happen to his face.  I believe that the vast majority of what he told his victims was misinformation directed to lead the Police in a wrong direction.  HOWEVER, the one victim who told him he had a big diddly I believe struck a nerve with him.  I believe that she got some factual information.  If anyone can get access to that case file finding out what he said to her exactly would be very useful.  He had probably never heard that in his day to day life and in an odd way felt some sort of connection with the victim.  He also said something happened to his face and people made fun of him.  I think there is a high chance that is true.  I bet he has some kind of stand out facial disfiguring.

Also to explain the summer school break theory it is possible that he could be a teacher and not a student.  I don't think this is likely but it is possible.
