These killings affected residents of Oakland county and the surrounding suburb's the same way as EAR affected the people of his attack areas. The EAR case helped get 911 established, women got self defense classes etc... The OCCK gave us the new phrase taught to kids "Stranger Danger" and not to go out alone always walk in pairs. There is DNA in this case, but it may be from an associate of the killer, it was hair found in a car of a known child predator, also hair was found on one of the victims that linked back to a man who while maybe not the killer, but may have known the killer? The killings were 1976-1977.
Following the OCCK case is what led me to discovering this website and the EAR case. The OCCK case is a solvable case. Dark Minds did a show on it called "The Babysitter Killer" check it out.
Take a look at this drawing, which was found in the home of the individual who many now believe was the killer after his suicide. The drawing closely resembles one of the OCCK's young victims, Mark Stebbins. To me, it is just as horrifying as the "Gonna Kill Me" call which is what drove me to become obsessed with the EARONS case.
That drawing is infinitely more horrifying than the EAR call. So scary.
