Hi! I have an update. Recently found out, from an investigative reporter, that JDA's best friend lived in the same small apartment complex that I lived in when I bought Petunia! AHHH did he see me before I bought his car???
petuniasma123 you stated before that DeAngelo worked with your father also so he would likely have known you from both your father’s connection as well as your living in the same apartment complex as his best friend right? If so I was thinking how it would make sense that he was aware of you and maybe even stalking you but then I see you are a male........
Quester’s attack ‘31b — back to Rancho’ March 28,1978
There’s a poster on Reddit asking about this. I’ve been wondering about this one as well because I remember it. I remember the detective at our door that morning asking if we had noticed anything. This is awkward feeling as it happened in my neighborhood and I can put names and faces to the people affected. My best poking about on google can’t come up with the results of the investigation into this incident. I had, as a fourth grader, to go on rumors on the street. I had heard that it had been a “copy-cat” and that they had a suspect (another person I can put a face to). Can anyone tell me how to find out if there was a conviction? I hate to be voyeuristic but this case ties together all of my experiences that I had that I believe to have been EAR related.
I had a dream that there was a man in my room holding a huge knife. He gave the impression of being clean and neatly dressed. He had dark curly hair and a medium length beard. He wore wire rim glasses. I now believe that this was the EAR disguised as my next door neighbor. My parents (Sac LE) agreed with me that it was a “dream”.
My house was ransacked just like the VR would. My dad chased him out of our house. He and the other deputies who came by declared that it was the work of “kids”.
This attack “31b” occurred. That was a “copy-cat”.
There was someone trying, to remove a screen from a window of a bedroom shared by two sisters — one a high school junior and one a senior— next door to me while they slept. I heard a Sac. Sheriffs deputy say it “wasn’t him”.
This is the neighborhood that the 7-11 was in. I used to get my slurpy rock cups there. (Sac sheriffs did a good job on that one).
My connection is that my father was hired as an Auburn PD cop in 1979 to fill the vacancy created when JJD was fired. My prents always wanted to move to Auburn so my dad called Chief Willick and asked if they were looking to hire someone to replace the cop they just fired. Willick said “yes, and we are going to be doing something new in terms of having applicants take a psychological test”.
After firing "your average Joe" for shoplifting, Auburn initiates psychological testing for new hires. Is this for real?
Well it could just be coincidence that by the time they opened this position vs previous hirings that they reviewed their hiring practices and if such tests were becoming common place it would make sense to institute them. My dad had already taken three for his job in Petaluma so clearly such practices were out there.
f1guyus: If JJD lasts until August the victims will get their chance. Sadly there’s no getting even. For all intents and purposes Joe got away with it. Prison is probably going to kill him a lot sooner that fishing and lawn care.

goldrusher: There's a female cardinal at my bird feeder right now with only one eye. She seems healthy though. Flying and eating just fine. I do appreciate birds.

elir: Cardinals were my mother's favorite bird. When I hear them doing their snapping call, I think of her.

elir: Goletaguru there is a person named Huddle in LE in Goleta for several years, it appears he is now doing something with the Santa Barbara Sheriffs office. His dad was a cop in Santa Barbara in the 1970s .

elir: Don’t know if they are related to the Huddle at your elementary school or if they are related to James and Sharon Huddle. You think if the Santa Barbara Huddles were were related to Sharon we would have known that by now, so probably a strange coincidence
