Some good musings. Agree with Imagigator that if JJD had a public storage unit someone would have come forward from recognizing him at the unit. That might have been giving up too much control to have his special stuff off site. I think that LE was digging in his yard because they are thinking along those lines, too.
As far as Accomplice, no no no, the Sac Sheriff's who hedge on so many things said there is no accomplice! Issued a statement as soon as Chief Holes made reference to the reports of a few victims that EAR may have been speaking to someone, was picked up. etc. Seriously I found it quite weird that Sac issued a statement like that when they are just beginning to investigate his life, especially the 11 or so "lost years" from 79 to joining SaveMart. Usually it's the opposite and they say they have just started to investigate yada yada. I want his daughters left alone but there needs to be investigation of other family members like his brother. If nothing else to clear their names.---Sacto Survivor PS Poster Dog is so right about the Sacto regional traffic, it has gotten much worse just in last couple of years, but way back in the 70s at non-commute hours it would have facilitated a pretty quick commute. It's the covering all that time away from home that's the question.
Regarding the accomplice idea, they recently came across new information due to re-interviewing some of the survivors that casts considerable doubt on one of the main Sacramento-area witness reports that involved possible accomplices. The information is supposed to come out in an article any day so I don't want to get ahead of it but even with the new information, anything is still possible in this case! Contra Costa County in particular had some weird accomplice-like incidents (especially in Concord) so I can see why Paul has always wondered aloud at the possibility.
