7/1/71 - Brenda Jones, 14, disappeared while walking home from visiting her aunt at UTMB in Galveston. Her body was found the next day floating in Galveston Bay. Despite what you will read about head wounds and possible gunshot wounds. Her COD was strangulation.
11/11/71 - Debbie Ackerman and Maria Johnson, 15, were seen getting into a white van near an ice cream shop in Galveston. Their bodies were found in Turner's Bayou in Texas City two days later. They died of gunshot wounds.
6/17/71 - Colette Wilson, 13, was dropped off by her band leader at a bus stop in Alvin. She was found in Addicks Resevoir in West Houston about 5 months later. She was killed by a gunshot wound to the head.
10/28/71 - Gloria Ann Gonzales, 19, was last seen near her apartment in Houston. Her torso was found on 11/23/71 and her skull was located a week later near the remains on Colette Wilson in Addicks Resevoir in West Houston (near Katy). Her skull was crushed, but she had a garrote around her neck.
8/4/71 - Rhonda Johnson and Sharon Shaw, 14, disappeared while in Galveston. Their skeletal remains were discovered about 5 months later in Taylor Bayou in Southeast Harris County.
11/9/71 - Alison Craven, 12, was missing from her apartment near I-45. Her partial remains were found in a nearby field on 2/25/72. The rest of her skeleton was found in a Pearland field about 10 mi from her apartment.
1/3/73 - Kimberly Pitchford, 16, was last seen after her driver's ed class at Frank Dobie High School at 11111 Beamer Rd. Houston, TX about 6PM. She was supposed to call her mom to pick her up, but she never called. Her body was found 2 days later in a drainage ditch along CR 65 near Iowa Colony in Brazoria County.
5/21/77 - Suzanne Bowers, 12, disappeared from Galveston while walking from her grandmother's home to her own home. Her skeletal remains were found in a field near Avenue P 1/2 in Alta Loma. She had a skull fracture.
9/6/74 - Georgia Geer, 14, and Brooks Bracewell, 12, were seen in the afternoon after skipping school in a convenience store/bar/game room by a sibling in Dickinson. The girls had asked for a ride home, but the person the sibling was riding with already had a full vehicle. So, the girls were going to attempt to hitchhike home. They were found in an Alvin Swamp.
Most of the victims were dumped in a body of water. One in a drainage canal. A few other victims were found in fields.
To clarify, Addicks Reservoir is not really a body of water, so much as a large green space that can serve as a retention pond for flooding events. There are assorted bayous and canals running through it, with a few small permanent pools/ponds, but the vast majority of the “reservoir” is forest/parkland.
