I bolded and underlined the key word in your first sentence.  "If" is an interesting word--because it does not mean "definitively."  We do not know for certain if J.J.D. is guilty of those particular crimes, but that's also why it's good business policy for police departments to run his D.N.A. against any of their cold cases considering J.J.D.'s track record in serial offending.

I'm not sure what the point of your post was--the point of mine was that although there are some (key) differences, it doesn't hurt to run J.J.D.'s forensic profile against anything retrieved from this crime.  I emphasized the method of murder--strangulation--because it (to our knowledge as of this writing) IS NOT HIS STYLE.  Per previous posts, J.J.D. chose bludgeoning and he stuck with it--save the three ONS Goleta attacks in which he was forced to use his handgun.  Why?

Because he liked it.  That's why bludgeoning kept reappearing in the series.

Thats why I said if. I'm suprised you dont see the point, still. Even though I suspect you do. If you only believe he blugeoned exclusively, I disagree he was only capable of bludgeoning. Getting under your thin skin is not my intent, but expanding narrow minds is. That is the real point. You are right, he liked bludgeoning, he could even be the Tustin bludgeoner after getting arrested for shoplifting. If all he did was bludgeoning his chances of getting caught were greater. He avoided getting caught by people whom only followed strict guidelines. Several things stand out...I’ve always thought that JJD had a think about matching words.

I think when all is said and done, we will find bludgeoning, strangulation, drowning, stabbing, shooting, forced car crashes, murders that appeared as suicides, etc. I even wonder about overdosed pills.

How do you know this Murderinc?  Can someone tell us where other  suspicious posters IP addresses are traced to?

There was an IP signature for cbk in Reno during the time we absolutely, definitively know that JJD was in Sacramento, as in the day of the arrest. If he isn’t using a VPN to obscure location, and we haven’t heard that he was using any relatively sophisticated technology for a 72 year old guy,, then it is far more likely that cbk isn’t JJD. Caveat vthere may be info that would suggest jjd=cbk that I am not privy to

IP signatures are precise enough to show from what zip code a person may be using their device , however location signature can jump back and forth between two adjacent zip codes for various reasons.

Reno is clearly not in the zip code for Citrus Heights nor is it adjacent to Citrus Heights . I was told that data was for that area of California was perhaps being routed through Reno, even so that shouldn’t be the terminal address unless he was using a VPN. if he was using a VPN there is no way to trust the location data we see on our side.

There are several members that people continue to insist must be JJD when there is no available electronic evidence suggesting such. There are also several other inactive members mentioned on the board who are better candidates

However I don’t have access to all the information that might support or refute the claims made about any of these members .

If the plea deal goes through , perhaps LE can then give us.a definitive answer to our question “ did jjd visit this site”, assuming LE thoroughly vetted his computer and cell data.

Yes , I know that but with the IP locator I use ( and pay out if pocket for to IID trolls and spammers trying to access the site ) you can see the routing.

for example we get a number of “guests” likely spammers that at first glance are all in a neighborhood in a certain small city in the US but can be tracked to Russia and Ukraine through the same providers every time. You can see the trail.

When you use that method then you would probably see Citrus Heights ( or adjacent zip code), Sacramento, and then Reno, , but you don’t see that pattern. It could be a time sensitive thing,but I’ve tried it several times to see if there is a change and there is not , but I’m going by what I’ve found with fairly reliable tools .

If Winters or Richmond or someone else have definitive info perhaps they will let us know so we no longer will have to debate this point because we will have facts.

i'd be surprised if cbk, KNR & trick were not using VPN. we know KNR & trick were posting from a phone. Where do KNR & trick's ip show?

FYI using the same method , I ruled out luftec as jjd as people had been pushing him as a candidate . One of luftec’s posts used a certain Sacramento suburb as a reference pioint as in he mentions that a store or whatever was south of a particular town , coincidently his IP firmly placed him in the town he used as a reference point. Unfortunately the IP also pretty closely links luftec to another former member that joined a few weeks after luftec was banned . Showing that it is better to trust but verify.

So it is highly unlikely that luftec is JJD , and based on _available evidence_ it is unlikely that cbk is jjd . But if I find out I am wrong then I’m wrong and will say it.
Either way let’s hope to find out soon.

I’d be surprised if they were not using a vpn now in 2020, but in 2015-2018 , not so certain . If they were using a VPN then any IP info is completely useless. This is why keeping W***y out became virtually impossible.

Yes ,cell phones can muddy the waters but not as much as you might think.
