Good memory about the glasses That was part of the burglary series -- it occurred at the same time, not years later. And for others who don't know, Cordova Meadows is a neighborhood in Rancho Cordova that encompassed much of the EAR's early territory in 1976 and later in 1978 -- including the Maggiore murders. Some of these early offenses occurred in Carmichael and Citrus Heights, too -- the damage wasn't limited to the Rancho Cordova area.
Another interesting fact about the Cordova Meadows burglar is that he targeted a teenager on El Segundo who would later become EAR's sixth victim. Morf found the police report that showed that she even lived in the same house! And there was a lull in activity while the VR series was going on, except for a spike in October 1975 when the first possible EAR attack occurred. A burglar with the Cordova Meadows/VR M.O. stole drapery cord in one of the burglaries and used a different drapery cord to tie up the rape victims -- an interesting parallel, considering that the events happened within days of each other.
Well, I'm rambling and saying a lot of things here so I'll shut my yap and let the articles and podcast run -- Paige is a much more competent researcher and storyteller than I am I'm sure this will be terrific! One of Bonnie's relatives reached out last year and we discussed some of her history with JJD. I'm assuming all of that will be in here and more -- so this will be what some people here have been waiting for.
It's definitely something for us to be looking forward to as long as we have been waiting on it. I like the exclamation point buddy. The cool calm and collected dude who is always tapping the breaks "Walter" doesn't get excited too often. If Walter gets excited, you know it's a big deal.
