GRANITE BAY (CBS13) — A Granite Bay couple reportedly married only a few months was found dead in their home of an apparent murder-suicide.
Timothy Delgado, 43, and Tamara Delgado, 45, both of Granite Bay, were found dead Sunday in their home on Wesbourne Way after Tamara’s parents reportedly called authorities and asked for them to check up on her at the home, according to a Placer County Sheriff’s Office statement.
Close friends of Tamara Delgado, who didn’t want to be identified, told CBS13 that she had a heart of gold.
“We were both a part of the Granite Bay mom’s group. All the mom’s in this group support other moms and we get together and we play with our kids,” a close friend of Tamara Delgado said. “We did every holiday; Christmas, you name it. She was here. She was here when my son lost his first tooth.”

“She spent many nights at our house. Our sons were very close,” the close friend’s husband said. “Tim only came into her life about a year ago. But as my wife said we took her in as a part of our family.”
Authorities on Monday said they believed Timothy shot and killed Tamara and then turned the gun on himself. Timothy was a prosecutor with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of California in Sacramento.
CBS13 reached out to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for a comment regarding Delgado.
The Office sent us this statement: “The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of California was notified on Sunday, March 8, 2020, of the death of Assistant United States Attorney Timothy Delgado and his wife. We were informed that Mr. Delgado and his wife were found deceased in their home. The Placer County Sheriff’s Office is investigating with the assistance of FBI, and we are fully cooperating with the investigation. Any questions regarding the investigation should be directed to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.”

The close friends who spoke with CBS13 said their hearts break for Tamara Delgado’s family.
“My tears are for Tamara and losing her. My tears are for the situation. But mostly my tears are for her son because I know him so well,” the close friend’s husband said.
The close friend and her husband told CBS13 Delgado was a loving mother to her daughter and young son.
“The love that a mom gives to her children and they adored her. They just adored her. And she’s gone,” the close friend said.
This woman’s husband said he feels for her son who now has to grow up without his mother.
“I can’t imagine my son growing up without his mom. And the tragic and senseless and unnecessary her life was taken and the impact that it’s going to have on him for the rest of his life and that just breaks my heart,” the close friend’s husband said.
That woman took a couple swings at the cop before he swung back. I'm not sure why the crowd was so in sensed. You get treated like a lady when you act like one. You act like a street thug and you get thrown to the ground.
The guy that blindsided the cop was a real jerk too. I'm not sure what he had in his hand.
there are some factors to consider almagata. what was the man being arrested for? one bystander says "all that for a bag of weed" while another says robbery. if it's for pot, those cops deserve a lot worse than a sucker punch. but consider this, to be forced to lie down on a sidewalk contaminated with the virus and touched by cops who aren't wearing gloves or masks is a potential death sentence now in NY. at this point all nypd are likely carriers of the virus. i don't see punching the woman in the face like that as justified either

nowhereman: can't confirm it, but he went completely silent the day JJD was taken into custody. Recent activity before that. I think he was last logged in after the arrest, but there is a lag before you would "time out"

cherylh: It would be great if the investigators or law enforcement would confirm JJD's participation.

artbe4words: It has been said by others that CBK asked many questions about DNA and then later would delete his questions. I heard he deleted a lot of his comments. It did appear he was trying to lead people down a trail that had nothing to do with the truth too.

f1guyus: I would love to think that Joe spent his golden years thinking about getting rolled up by the “samples” he spread around.

warren: I think about that too. But its not the police I worry about knocking on the door, but one of those samples I spread around all growed up.
