With all due respect, the family and friends of JJD are not victims. The victims are the victims. I feel for his family, they have my sympathy. But it's nothing compared to the true victims of these crimes, those raped, murdered and assaulted by JJD. I don't like putting his family in the same category. They are not victims. They can still have our sympathy for being put in such a terrible position, but lets not call them victims. Which leads me to the flip side of the coin--his relative who posts here. I agree with recent posts written emphasizing the need for understanding and tolerance with regard to how these crimes affect different people; however, I didn't see bassman3232 extending that same courtesy the way of other posters. Commentary like "he [J.H] doesn't know $hit" and some of the other corybantic musings do not constitute discussion, especially when nothing of substance is offered in substitution to such a charge. In fact, that behavior reminded me of something I remember reading at reddit--a troll cesspool generally, but occasionally yielding a nugget here and there--about J.J.D. having "nephews" who post regularly on social media, and that they were prone to bullying people or ideas with which they disagreed. It seems that that reddit post has merit to it. This individual has every right to post here, and I don't think anyone is disputing this; however, this individual should understand that there are many dynamics at play here, and it's absolutely awful that he's going through the time he's going through on account of his uncle's crimes. Be that as it may, his uncle has admitted to guilt, and D.N.A. proves that his uncle is in fact the horrific person who did these things. I'll be the first to admit: this place can get heated at times, and that's why it's good to walk away from it from time to time. I would point this person in the direction of a nice post that faser41 wrote regarding how to navigate the (sometimes) crazy universe that is the EAR/ONS PB board.
