Anthony_Shots fake social media account for catfishing teens

The Murder Sheet podcast released a couple of episodes discussing a transcript of the 2020 Kegan Kline interview with law enforcement.

It is clear from the interview that law enforcement does not believe that Kegan Kline is BG but they do believe that he knows who BG is and that Kegan is protecting BG. Kegan Kline says that there were other people who had access to his phone. His father is one of those people as is a friend of Kegan.

Kegan says his father is not computer savvy so I don't think that his father fits who BG is likely to be.

Police also indicate that Kegan's phone is connecting to public wifis. Kegan swears that he does not know where one of the locations on Country Club Dr. is. If that is true, I think it is possible that Kegan's phone was cloned. Kegan says that he did not make some of the posts on the Anthony_Shots social media accounts.

One of the scarier discloses is that a girl that Kegan Kline is a family friend of was contacted by the Anthony Shots account and she gave the Anthony Shots account her address and planned a hook up with Anthony Shots. This is an address that Kegan was familiar with and would not have needed to ask for. The girl arranged to meet Anthony Shots at her home in the afternoon of 2/20/2017 when her parents were not home. That afternoon a man in a ski mask was seen peeking in the girl's windows by the girl and a police report of the incident was filed.

Kegan is willing to disclose that he was dealing drugs and went to Law Vegas in search of large amounts of drugs for another friend who is a convicted drug dealer. Kegan did not provide this friend's name to law enforcement when asked to list all of his friends. He claims he did not want to provide the name because the guy is a drug dealer. I think it is very interesting that he would try to protect the drug dealer and BG. That to me says that he is fearful of the drug dealer and BG.

I very much think that Kegan Kline's phone was cloned.  It's not that hard to do from what I read. 

There have been a number of other cat fishing  murders in the the past couple of years in that area. 

Ray Hanish was cat fished by Garret Kirts and his band of meth heads in March of 2019.

Willie Smith was cat fished by Tyrone Leftridge, Shianne Brooks-Brown and Jennifer Dean in June of 2021.

And there are a couple of other odd murders and fires that need to have the details vetted publicly.

8/2013 Flora Fire - that killed four girls 5-11 years old.  The fire inspector and the fire chief both resigned following allegations impropriety during this investigation. 

11/2018 Logansport Fire - Brandi Vail, 25, Marshall Hite, 1 month old (Brandi’s child), Rhylie Hite, 1 (Brandi’s child)
Swayzee Hite, 3 (Brandi’s child), Joseph Huddleston, 42 (Brandi’s stepfather), Kadee Huddleston, 10 years old (Joseph Huddleston’s child) were killed in the fire and Daniel Hite, father of Marshall and Rhylie, was found dead in his home in Flora hours later, reportedly not by suicide or homicide.

3/28/2020 Vevey Fire - Paige Ridener, 25, James Ridener, 15, Jordan Riener, 12, Emilee Ridener, 11, Elizabeth Ridener, 10 died.  Paige Ridener had come home to care for her siblings after CPS ruled that her parents could not care for the four children.  The parents filed a civil law suit against CPS following the fire.  Allegations of abuse were unfounded before the fire but CPS did not correct the placement.  

9/2020 Binghurst Fire  - where John MaCurdy and Anna Downham were shot and the house set on fire and Daniel Doe was found in Miami County dead, reportedly by suicide.  Daniel Doe was from Rice Lake, Wisconsin so what was he doing in Carroll County, Indiana?  Anna has a couple of Facebook pages and one of them looks like she was soliciting the attention of men. 

1/2022 Frankfort Fire - Shea Heid, 12, Amelia Heid, 5 died in a house fire.  Their parents and infant sister escaped.  Fire cause is being investigated. 

1/2022 Monticello Fire - Stephanie and Mya Thompson were killed.  Stephanie was a retired Indiana State Police Sergeant and her husband, who was not home, is a Indiana Judge.  The ATF is investigating this fire.

For an area with such a small population, they have some really ODD murders and fires.  The number of able bodied people dying in these fires is unusual.  Most people that die in fires are really young or old or blitzed out of their minds on drugs or alcohol.

Rural poverty and issues with meth are likely contributors to the violence and crime in the area.

For an area with such a small population, they have some really ODD murders and fires.  The number of able bodied people dying in these fires is unusual.  Most people that die in fires are really young or old or blitzed out of their minds on drugs or alcohol. 

There is no question about meth being an issue in the area and the people involved in the Roy Hannish and Willie Smith murders were definitely meth users. 

This area has many jobs available with a number of manufacturing plants. (Subaru, Indiana Packers, and others.) so I don't really think that rural poverty is that much of an issue in this region.

I would agree that drugs, predominately Meth and alcohol, play a significant role in a lot of criminal behavior. Troubling.
