-A phone call received by a victim around Christmas time in 1977. Reported by a close source to law enforcement, the call appears to be legitimate.
-The clicking was the sound of the EAR rapidly pressing a button before hanging up.
-The victim was presented with the OBSCENE PHONE call and identified the caller as the same person who had attacked her, as well as the MERRY CHRISTMAS caller.
FORBODING PHONE CALL - 12/10/1977

AFRAID letter - Mailed to Sacramento Sheriffs Department on 8/17/1977
-The content of the letter itself is unreleased and will likely remain unseen by the public, as it was probably destroyed due to a lack of legal significance. However, the following article confirms it's existence.
-From what I understand, the letter is an unreleased communication to law enforcement, said to be written by someone with knowledge as to who the East Area Rapist was or the East Area Rapist himself.
-Popular rumor has it, that this letter is unreleased due to some incriminating evidence that might have very well lead to an arrest of the EAR/ONS. However, from what we as the public knows, nothing ever came from is and the only existing evidence of it's existence is the article calling out to the writer by their signature, "AFRAID". The letter's existence at one time or another has been confirmed as 100% legitimate.
-The letter itself will likely never be revealed as the statute of limitations ran out on the rape crimes that were likely mentioned within the letter.
-The author of the letter, "AFRAID", is mentioned in another article as a coherent and apparently knowledgeable person who is "not a kook".
PUNISHMENT
