VR-EARONS- Physical Appearance

The facts regarding the physical appearance so far:

9/3/73 8:15pm. Subject was spotted in flower bed looking in complaintant's bedroom window. Described as WMA, 25 years old, short cut blond hair, clean shaven with a round face.

9/10/73 615 W. Kaweah 9pm. A separate complaintant at a different residence was walking to her car which was parked at the curb in front of her house. Observed a subject exit from the backyard of her home. Subject observed her standing by her car and turned back towards her house and yelled "Catch you later, Sandy!" and then jogged northbound on Stevenson St from Kaweah. Described as WMA, 20-30 years old, 5'10" to 5'11", medium build, short cut blond hair, with a round face. Complaintant mentioned having a prowler problem for two months previous and on 10/10/73 at 10pm along with two friends observed the same suspect looking in a sliding glass door at the rear of the home.

12/12/75  Det. McGowen witnessed suspect remove mask, described as blond with round, smooth face.  A sketch was made of the suspect.

1/28/76 14 yr old female living at 600 S. Burke Street. She stated on Sunday 1/18/76 at approximately 11:00 PM she and her sister were sitting in the family room watching television. She looked up and observed a white male adult looking in the window. She stated that when the subject noticed that he had been discovered, he turned and walked away, last seen northbound out of the backyard. She described the subject as being in his early twenties, 5'11" 190 lbs., light colored short cut hair and with a round face. She described him as being light complected and thought he was weraing a dark green army jacket.

Blue chip stamp clerk  -  man came into blue chip stamp redemption store periodically with numerous stamp books for redemption, refused to give address and phone number, clerk witnessed subject's impatient, moody temper.  Subject  started in 1973, stopped in Sep 1975 (after Snelling murder).  A sketch was made of the suspect.

Four individuals gave same description:  blond, short hair, round smooth face. Does anyone have any factual evidence to dispute this description?  Has anyone seen or can provide a copy of the sketch made due to the description provided by the blue chip stamp clerk?

Star- I need to dig through my files, but here is one comp and description of the Ransacker. He was described as having an oddly jutting nose, as was EAR by one neighbor.

There was one rape in Sacramento where a neighbor of a victim had her lights out and watched a man enter her side yard into her neighbor's yard.  The neighbor's weren't home and she did not all the police.  She only saw EAR's profile but described him as having a jutting nose.  Here are two more ransacker comps.  He liked military garb apparently.

Has anyone on the board reviewed Mt Whitney high school yearbooks from 1970-1973? This would tell us if anyone with a similar physical description graduated from Mt Whitney. What are the options? He either graduated locally, dropped out locally, or is not from the area.

Star, I have been looking at the Mt. Whitney year book, and yes there are a couple of guys that look like him.

Where to start, in 1986 I lived in Arcadia California. I had a stalker at work and home...many events happened and all these years later I continue to check out a possible suspect every time I hear about a case...I stopped looking this spring when I heard about this case...I looked up a few sketches of this guy and I knew there was something to this one...then I saw a new sketch and it was a dead ringer for the guy...here's the thing, my dog disappeared just before he attempted to break in. A year later I went back to my old neighborhood to go to church and I saw my dog with this guy...who looks like the same guy but he's in work clothes working for the Catholic church as an electrician or telephone repairer. Thought this guy might of done work as a painter earlier in his career like the police suspect he did and now he does electrical but still in construction. Further more, I confronted this guy why he had my dog( felt protected by God) said he found him in Pasadena Hills. I lived just 20 mins away from there. I know this guy was the same guy. He took our family dog because he go busted trying once to break into my room by my dad. dad had a bat..two weeks later the dogs gone...and after many calls and catching him spying on me through a window, he attempts to get to me a second time at home but all this is after he stalked me at work one evening. He was in a white car that was older and long, bad with cars names. He used to breath hard and curse at me and tell me he knew I was alone and when my parents left the house...He was breaking into my car and turning the lights on so I would be stranded at work at night in a dark and largely empty lot for weeks. He was clean looking and dressed in a nice jacket that made him look a college graduate, like Ted Bundy. I moved to get away after he tried to break in a second time. The guy I think could of been from Pasadena or Altadena area while in Southern Ca. Runs along the 210 freeway which you use to catch the 5 freeway to Northern Ca. Arcadia was a upper class neighborhood as well. what to do you think?

This is a very disturbing story. Glad you got away. I notice the part in the hair is on the wrong side, but memory can be shaky. Several interesting parallels with GSK,( appearance, dog, in the trades, the breaking in, peeping, breathing hard/cursing,), however, one thing I've learned researching this is there is no shortage of misogynist nut jobs out there.  I certainly hope you bring this to the attention of LE; no matter who this guy is, he's dangerous. latinmama, fyi ...

The sketch you show is an enhanced version of someone seen at the Maggiore murders in Sacramento.  If, and it's a big if, the guy represented by that sketch happens to be connected to this case, I would surmise that he was one of two men seen fleeing the Maggiore scene.  There has been considerable speculation that a person involved in that crime was the East Area Rapist and later the Original Night Stalker.
