EAR claimed to have been in the Stockton State Hospital when he called a crisis hotline.
The map found near the Danville crime scene may be precisely across the street from the old Stockton State Hospital farm where 1,500 men were once housed.
Coincidence?
Someone who was incarcerated at the Hospital may very well have had "punishment" on his mind when thinking of the area.
In 2016, a poster named "t9d/Manhunter" believed they found the map's area on satellite images. They looked thoroughly through the state all night and were convinced they'd found it.
But I don't think that t9d realized that the site is across the street from the State Hospital Farm! Hardly anybody does because Delta College is there now.
That's creepy.
I can't get images to post - I'm a newbie (joined just for this item!). You can see the referenced images on the thread on this board at thread/37/gsk-map?page=18.
I had previously been bothered by the weird lines on the map jutting out into the space marked "Lake." But those would be the swales in the golf course, and there's actually a little lake in that golf course, and a creek running into the larger space! I'm personally familiar with that golf course and those streets.
I was intrigued, but skeptical at first. Then I thought about how I draw travel maps to get from one place to another: we leave out pretty much everything that isn't relevant to the purpose of the map. t9d/Manhunters map outlines a beautiful getaway route, some bodies of water to avoid as they can't be crossed - and some individual houses that may have been targets, and not much else. Don't forget the guy was also an accomplished burglar.
Furthermore, the map would have to have been drawn without the benefit of google maps or satellite images as they didn't exist. Curved roads do strange things to our sense of orientation. Heck, I can't even draw a house plan without getting some rooms turned around.
The more I think about it, the more I'm persuaded that there might be something here. Those weird lines moving in and out of the part that seems to say "Lake" correspond to the swales in a golf course! With a little lake - with a creek , just as we see on the drawn map. The map bugged me, haunted me because it reminded me of some place in Stockton, where I lived - then I found the map t9d posted. I don't think t9d saw the little lake - but I'm personally familiar with that golf course and lake and the streams.
If this is real, I think we may have all missed it because we were looking for a BIG lake. But it doesn't have to be big . . .
