Yes! Isn't it interesting if the only "known" time the Diamond Knot aka Chinese decorator knot was used was on Charlene a decorator, right, right, right, duh.
If that is the case I might have to back off something I just posted under the heading "DIAMOND KNOT". I worked my way in and out of these theories. I said that I believe the investigators would notice the "cut off portion" of some item that would be left behind if he utilized something in the victim's home that had the decorator knot in it, or that her relatives would be able to identify where it came from.
But on second thought, could it be she had a length of cord, twine etc. that was used in it's entirety. Had it been used for a curtain tie-back? a belt? a necklace? But still, wouldn't the investigators or relatives know if it came from the home?
What material was the knot made of? Not shoe laces? not twine?, not macramé type of material?, DOES ANYBODY KNOW?
Charlene the only decorator and the only one that the Diamond Knot/Chinese Decorator Knot was used on? Maybe? If it was used from something he found at her home, it is not going to be useful as a clue at all. Would it be used for a curtain tie-back? a belt? a necklace?
I read somewhere, was it something Archangel76 said, that he was successful when using shoelaces but once he got to Goleta in his effort to change his MO he switched to twine that the victims were able to loosen and get out of, H/H and Dr. Offerman, Greg Sanchez? I think Greg jumped up before being tied up?
Sometimes when I have my sleuthing cap on I can forget the human suffering. Some of this really brings home the sadness of the horror, the pain, the fear that these poor victims went through. Sick!
