I am in WI (obviously my handle is 100% brew crew baseball) and found this case to be interesting and heartbreaking at the same time. There has been talk of at least 2 women who filed complaints about an assault handled after consenting to go home with him. There is a really rough situation proving that once you consent to go home apparently being handcuffed and beat isn't a part of the picture.
Last month two bodies were discovered in suitcases in the Lake Geneva area, and are now tied to a former officer who was allowed to resign and move to private security work instead of being prosecuted, possibly saving lives. I am not anti-LE, but I do think the only way this will get better is to prosecute the people who ignored the accusers and allowed this man to walk the streets because he is a part of the brotherhood. The link is to websleuths and it's mainly because there are many, many links to look through detailing the events of this mans life. www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?246038-WI-LAKE-GENEVA-SUITCASE-MURDERS-Laura-Simonson-amp-Jenny-Gamez
I know this isn't the only case of it's kind, but I think it provides good evidence of people who are not exactly in the rich and powerful elite, but still granted access and given reasonable doubt when the evidence is against them quite a bit. I know it would never happen, but I hope his immediate superiors who allowed the man to go to security work instead of being prosecuted are tried also for conspiracy. I have no faith it will ever happen, but it really does make one think about what goes on behind the closed doors of our police force, considering there are a lot of people who could lose out by ousting their lower ranks and admitting to a failure that could have stopped these murders from happening.
To me this is just a simple question of power without money involved. No, GSK didn't have to be the son of a powerful, rich, elite member of our govt to get away with it, there are cases all around the US where semi rich men save their kids by sending them to treatment (i cannot remember the case I specifically wanted to mention, but will find it later) because they are connected to men who would have a light shined on their dept/organization they most likely do not want. Your SGT wants to run for mayor? They cannot have the public see their faults to a lesser extent.
It's a sad world we live in where good men will sacrifice the working class to advance their political agendas, as I believe to be the case in these two murders that occurred earlier this year.
Edited to fix it, and sorry for the way too long original post, I just found this case interesting and wanted to share a possible other side for how the GSK could have gotten away with all he has done.
