Look at the spacing of the attacks after he got to the East Bay area:
10/7/78 Concord
10/13/78 Concord = about 1 week (6 days)
10/28/78 San Ramon = about 2 weeks (15 days)
11/04/78 San Jose = 1 week (7 days)
12/02/78 San Jose = about 1 MONTH (28 days)
12/09/78 Danville = 1 week (7 days) map/6th grade rant/Custer homework found (could he have had a lot of stuff in the
car because he was moving?)
3/02/79 Rancho Cordova 3 MONTHS!
4/4/79 Freemont ($1600 stolen) had he gone to Rancho Cordova to get money for the move for instance? or for some other reason and
was not able to get the money.
6/2/79 Walnut Creek 2 MONTHS!
6/11/79 Danville 1 1/2 weeks (11 days)
6/25/79 Walnut Creek 2 weeks (14 days)
7/10/79 Danville 2 weeks (15 days)
10/01/79 GOLETA 3 MONTHS
I'm noticing the spacing of the 1 month and then the 2 months and the 3 months. I'm also noticing he is not attacking as frequently as in Rancho Cordova. Due to being on unfamiliar territory perhaps? Needing to spend more time on his surveillance? Does the longer time gaps indicate he is busy at school? or with a job? Perhaps traveling out of town on a job? perhaps down to Goleta" and then back?or that he is in the process of moving perhaps. I've often wondered if he had boxes and bags in his car due to moving and didn't notice something fall out of the back seat.
Mainly I notice that the theft happened after his return trip to Rancho Cordova.
Personally, I don't think this will help any of us solve the case BUT perhaps someone that is suspecting him, perhaps a family member, will realize that this fits in with perhaps a family fight where he didn't get his usual allowance in Rancho Cordova in March '79? or something happened that will mean something to someone who actually knows him and doesn't want to suspect him.
p.s. about the Goleta possibility. I wonder if some suspicious activity in Goleta can be found during some of these gaps?
