I have been thinking about this a great deal. Port posted this a while back and it has always been in my mind. Help me if I get this wrong, but either it was Ear or it wasnt. Odds are it wasnt, but then that seems like what we have saying years. the likelihoods keep pointing in one direction, and yet Ear never seems to be there. This sounds a little like the H/H attack in a way. Strange happenings in the neighborhood, and then a FBI agent chases off an intruder. If one were to assume that it was Ear, would that change peoples opinion about Ear and what he was doing? I am not saying it is true, but just imagine it for a second. Another FBI agent that was in a target neighborhood. That would mean something wouldnt it? I think that just because he hit an area that had an FBI agent living there, doesn't mean that EAR is involved or connected to the FBI. EAR didn't want to go get caught, so why go out of his way to attack/prowl an area that has an FBI agent living there. Makes no sense. I know you work really hard at making connections to things outside the box, where EAR could be. But, I think it's much more simpler than some very complex web of connections of LE/FBI/Glasby/VIP, etc. Again, I think that your research helps with different aspects of the case (provide some level of background to the culture of the police or how it was back in the 70's, etc.), but I don't think it necessarily works with the connections to LE/FBI and a coverup by LE/Politicians, etc. I know that's not your opinion, but thought I'd provide some level of counterpoint to the discussion.
In regard to Stan Los, what are the options? He didnt know there was a FBI agent living there. He didnt care there was a FBI living there. Or he picked that spot because there was a FBI agent living there. In the example above with him getting the two neighbors mixed up, there seems to be an idea that he knew who lived where and what they did. The localized burglaries tend to point to that as well. The idea that he knew the names of the LE working the case, that he read the paper and reacted to it, and if the above account by James Wright is correct, then he also targeted another neighborhood with a FBI agent. These particular facts arent something he could have faked, like the comments about living by the river, or Mommy is going to be mad at me, or possibly leaving an overhead door hat, or Apollo business card, or faking a burglary. James Wright is a retired FBI agent, he is account bears weight. These arent things that could have been added to by a witness at a later date, or lost. The class of evidence is different. These arent artist drawings or unknown vehicles, or stickers, or people that have never come forward to tell their story. For me, when I look at this, and when I think that Manuela had a brother in LE, or Glasby had a history of robbing drug dealers and had been bailed out of military problems by a member of the staff of a republican congressman, there is no interpretation required. It is a fact. For my research, I have to assume that he knew Stan Los lived there. I know it is an assumption, but I also assumed that there was some type of drug activity going in Irvine and I found it with Kenji, and that happened to connect Janelle to Alan May. It created an environment where these type of crimes tend to occur. Alan May had Phillip Arthur Thompson working for him. What did he do for him? And more importantly, who else did he have working him? Historically, what type of people search out and hire rapists and thieves?
One other point, if I say that the Ons murders might have been for money, that isnt to say that Ear rapes were for money. Or that Ear was being protected. Phillip Arthur Thompson didnt murder Betty Cloer for money. But I think he did other jobs for money. The bank robbery in LA seems to have had some inside info. Or look at Larry Neumann. He worked for Spilotro in the Hole in the Wall gang. He did burglaries and Spilotro, and still did murders when he wanted to. Again, even Neumann has a connection to Alan May through Oscar Goodman, who was Spilotro's lawyer. why do these people stick together? Was the H/H attack meant to be a message to Stan Los? Even the Hole in the Wall gang had an Ex Las Vegas cop working for them.
Interestingly, William Cassidy went to work for Oscar Goodman after leaving Alan May. And Kenji knows all these people I am talking about.
One more thing, I dont mean to suggest that all the rapes and murders have something to do with drugs, or politics, or any one field.
I dont know if anyone followed the tournament this year. It was fun. I had three brackets. In one of I picked North Carolina, but they were supposed to beat Duke. If one were to bet the games by the seeds, without the spread, you might have done alright. But I followed some of the brackets, and there were people who picked out South Carolina, or Middle Tenn, or Xavier. Winners who broke the statistical likelihood. It is really enjoyable for me to watch that. but I guess that is why they actually have to play the games. Or the Patriots, the Warriors, or all the likely winners would just show up and claim their trophy. I sort of view the Earons evidence as I do the tournament. Out of 64 pieces of evidence, some of them are going to defy the statistics, the less likely view will be the correct explanation. It is just deciding which ones.
