I'm excited to recommend this, so that I can show off my new-found podcasting skills. (Anyone too young to remember rotary dial phones can just shut up now; for some of us, navigating our way through all the new technology and modes of communication can be harrowing. Keep in mind, we weren't born with smartphones in our hands. Although it seems that an alarming number of people have subsequently had them surgically attached.) I recently discovered the wonderful world of podcasting; my new nano iPod that I got, to distract from the misery that is my daily Death March, has a big purple PODCAST button, and I got curious. Long story short, there is a podcast called MY FAVORITE MURDER, hosted,( if that's the appropriate podcast terminology), by two comedians, and on their very first episode, they talked about our man. I have already emailed them to thank them, and to encourage them to maybe devote a whole show to the case. Other than the fact that they were smart enough to zero right in on this, the biggest unsolved case around, they are very relatable and manage to strike just the right balance between clear headed psychological analysis, and neurotic obsessive fear. Great stuff. One caveat: the format is " two girlfriends drinking wine and whipping each other into a knot about murders that have affected people they know." There is swearing and irreverence. I would be interested to hear what members think about their discussion of EAR/ONS/ETC; it's obvious that, although they do a decent job of covering the case, and others, any member here is probably already fully aware of the facts they discuss, and then some. I would appreciate recommendations of other such podcasts. (And, yes, I am listening to SERIAL 2.)
