This is typical for this case. Someone logs onto something.... one detail out of 100 details.... and then tries to force this point down the throat of the entire case, in the hope that this one thing is the missing piece to the puzzle.
No one has ever denied the possibility of this guy being an active jogger and/or cyclist... but now, because someone comes up with a totally random theory about him riding hundreds and hundreds of miles each week, we suddenly have people questioning LE, witnesses and victims statements based on nothing but a theory about someone's perception of possible calves size.
There are so many links to this guy driving cars..... but suddenly we're back at the start..... because someone has a theory based on nothing but pure speculation.... and now people begin doubting what almost every cop or witness have said happened.
I'm not against looking at the case differently.... I agree it need s to be done sometimes.... but denying testimonies from almost hundreds of people is just plain ridiculous.
PS: No one has ever denied that he was in good shape. Jogging/running/cycling. The prowling must have been quite the exercise in itself. It's just plain wrong to begin denying all sorts of evidence to make a theory fit!
I personally find it unlikely that he was an "avid" anything other than peeper, rapist, and murderer. The obsessive nature of his planning, scouting, and actually offending most likely filled out his day. It's very unlikely that he was even able to spare the time necessary to work a full time job.
I completely agree with your point about the full time job... at least what we would consider a normal job, where you actually have to show up and do stuff for hours each day.
Of course we cannot rule out the possibility of him having a job that fit perfectly with him moving around the city all day..... but I find it pretty unlikely because he could put so much work into hiding and changing his appearance.
I do think you're right, Mitchell: The amount of work this man put into his "hobby" is quite frankly completely insane. I would go as far as to say, that even if he had not a single other thing to do in his life than to prowl.... It would still be extremely hard work.
Think about the effort he had to put into being so prepared!? The hours and hours and hours sneaking around rather large areas.... without getting caught.
I have been interested in serial killers and their crimes for well over 25 years now, and I cannot think of a single one who even comes close to spending as much time on his crimes as EAR/ONS.
I would say that Israel Keyes has some of the same features, but while he was extremely "professional" and careful, his killings were like some kind of sick holiday.... Our man worked 24/7 on this, which is one of the things that just makes this case so weird and special.
