As Police examined the evidence and found the knot used to tie the victims to the car parts was an Electrician's know used when running wiring through houses. The police began to keep their files for suspects and it lead to Brudos, from his minor conviction that sent him to the Mental facility. An Investigator while interviewing Brudos in his garage noticed a rope, Brudos asked the investigator"since your so interested in that rope, would you like a piece to take with you?", the investigator was delighted and took it. It was a perfect match for the rope used on both bodies found in the river. Brudos really did think he was smarter then the Police, He was wrong. Police then asked the 12 year old girl to look at a photo line up and she picked him out right away. Police had enough to arrest him.
Brudos said "victims were like candy bar wrappers , when your done with them you throw them away."
