I tend agree that he was from the area of the first attacks. It makes sense he would start out in his comfort zone. I know if I was gonna go break in a bunch of houses I would want to know every escape route possible. And as a kid growing up in a neighborhood you learn about all the little hideouts and shortcuts that most people have no clue are there. Plus if you're gonna be fence jumping through backyards you need to know where you're at otherwise the cops will catch you rather quickly.I always remember a famous case here in the UK of a mass school shooting in a school in Dunblane. Coincidentally, on the day it happened a US behavioural scientist was being interviewed live on tv on a non related subject as news of the mass shooting came through. As the interviewer asked the Behavioral Scientist(it may have been John Douglas) about the mass shooting Douglas said the killer would have had links to the school, the most likely scenario was the shooter was a teacher, former teacher, former pupil or parent of the school. Douglas was proven to be correct. The killer was later proven to have held local youth club events at the school. I suppose the point im trying to make is the links aren't always the most obvious. It's sods law in this case that ear had a more tangential link to Rancho Cordova than him actually having had growing up there.
