There has been a couple of documentaries about this case, it began to get more coverage after the police apprehended Peter Tobin who was a suspect. It's one of the biggest cold cases in the UK.
- The murders happened on the following dates 23rd February 68, 15th August 69 and 31st October 1969
- Three victims Patricia Docker aged 25 worked as a nurse, Jemima McDonald aged 32 was a mother of three and Helen Puttock aged 29.
- All of the victims had spent their evening at the Barrowland Ballrooms in Glasgow.
- All three victims were raped, beaten and strangled with their own stockings.
- Two victims were discovered naked, one fully clothed.
- They were all menstruating at the time and had sanitary napkins or tampons placed on or by their bodies.
- They were all murdered near their houses.
- The victims handbags were missing from the crime scene.
- Helen Puttock had a deep bite mark on her leg.
- All of the victims had left the crime scene with a male.
One of the victims Helen Puttocks sister Jean, said they met two man called John, one of them left whilst the other got a taxi with the two sisters, in the journey he revealed some information about himself.
- He was called either John Templeton or Sempleson.
- Aged between 25-30.
- Height around 5ft 10.
- Reddish/Fair Hair.
- Slim.
- Revealed that he was religious, didn't drink and mentioned that dance halls were dens of inquitity.
- Was spotted at the Barrowland with another man called John who was from Castlemilk he left early to catch a bus home.
Peter Tobin keeps on coming up as person of interest. Tobin is a real shitbag who murdered three young ladies around the early 90's and 00's. His claimed to murdered more victims, but he has gone on record to investigators saying that he does not give a * about his victims or their families and he hopes the police waste their money on investigation. If I had my own way I would torture information of him.
- Lived in Glasgow at the time.
- Was a devout Roman Catholic.
- One victim claims she was raped by him after meeting him at Barrowland ballroom around 1968.
- He threatened a woman and pestered her to go to a party with him in Castlemilk, he introduced himself as Peter.
- Used the alias John Semple
- Left Glasgow and moved to the South Coast of England 1969.
- His ex wife claim that he would became violent around their menstrual cycle.
- Helen Puttocks sister Jean has claimed that Tobin was not the man she and sister shared a taxi with.
