A new theory I'm working on made up of both old and new stuff that I think creates the delusional yet underlying logic behind EARONS disturbing motives for going about doing what it is he did.
I'll start off with saying that the theory is in it's infancy and has yet to really find a tread to settle into as a logical theory, so please mind my reiterations of older stuff we already know as I go.
So once again, what do we know about EARONS? He terrorized. He invaded. He robbed. He raped. He killed. But where does this come from? Why does he select the victims that he does and where did he genuinely find what he is looking for as far as what we physically know about him goes? Was it the rape? The murder? The terror? The ransacking? The robbery? I am now at the point that I believe it is all of the above, which form the basis for possession. The individual we call EARONS, or Golden State Killer, got his satisfaction from the total possession of his victims. This was his pay off and while he was very capable of things beyond physical indulgence, he really had this feel for taking a persons innocence, sense of security, peace of mind, their personal possessions and ripping it as far away from them because he could. He got to possess them entirely.
I feel that this was his motive.
Now why the victims that he selected? Well, I won't go into the murder victims as much because of the unfair and tragically obvious reason, which is that their say in the matter was so selfishly removed. But it absolutely does not keep them from being beyond vital to the theory, especially in their routine. I thought about this the other day in regards to my own family, thinking about how myself, my brother, my mother and our dogs would respond to a home intruder. Very quickly did I realize that my family existence not only separates itself from the type of victims that the EAR pursued but our routine was likely quite the opposite of what he was looking for.
My brother is up all the time doing nothing, I work nights and have severe insomnia, my mom is the one who works the average 9 to 5. Our dogs are bigger, one of them eighteen years old who is ferociously protective of us when any stranger is around despite their conditions, while the other just barks whenever any human she can't see makes a move toward the house from a block away. We are absolutely not his type of home to invade. None of us sleep at the same time, we're all related and most importantly, we are in a constant flux of what we do from day to day.
EARONS needed a family, couple or single victim who operated day to day with a bedtime at night and had something to do the next day. When they went to bed, they weren't thinking about the possibility of an intruder coming into their lives because tomorrow was such an important thing. That goes for all victims, no matter what case we talk about but for their attacker himself, this was key to his motive as well. Their routine fit his own, allowing him to understand better the goings on and overall relative nature of the home populace. This sort of thing also spans out to the communities, which seemed to mirror this sort of lifestyle that the victims shared.
Keep in mind I am not from California or the areas that were affected from that time but I do feel there is something to this. Routine was his logic.
Anyway, open to all comments and questions both positive or negative. I'm just trying to feel this theory out as much as I possibly can.
