Saw this post earlier re the "Water Treatment" theories:
TL;DR = With enough historical data, a casino database security system (now associated with federal investigative agencies) is available that can deduce possible bad actors related in some way to unsuspecting victims who may or may not have known each other. Could that be applied to the search for EARONSGSK?
------
"I think aljur's comment here bears repeating. Attack #22 and Attack #31 were the only two attacks in South Sacramento. The man of the house in both cases worked in the water treatment business. This could be a clue. I don't believe that the EARONS used any one method or connection to find victims, I think he used two or more connections, and I think the rest were found randomly through voyeurism while prowling neighborhoods. So finding one unifying connection isn't going to work. It's finding a few smaller ones while keeping in mind that there are going to be a good amount of random attacks as well. By cracking just ONE of these connections, the assailant might be revealed."
------
And there are the "aviation" and "military" coincidences and connections. My memory was jogged about a data system to find folks associated with the casino business.
The casino industry spends a lot of money to determine in advance who the people are that might cheat them out of a lot of money. They use a technology relational database called NORA that was started in 1989. Government agencies have since used the technology in terrorist database development.
It is fascinating.
The basics: annex.wikia.com/wiki/Nora_(technology)
Examples of use: www.computerworld.com/article/2587381/business-intelligence/the-search-is-on.html
The EAR/ONS victims --and their families-- had relationships (jobs, significant others, hobbies, vehicles, neighbors, schools, travel etc....) and experiences (with court system or LE or positive civic or neighborly interactions and/or endeavors). Posters have discussed that many times in these threads.
But what if all that information on relationships and experiences was digitized into a giant database like NORA and then filtered to the point where , say, some victims had some connectivity with a relationship or experience that they were unaware of with some of the other victims? Would that lead LE toward a POI?
And perhaps one name or business or institution keeps "coming up"? Since the FBI is involved in the case I figure they have the budget to employ it.
