Here is an interesting site that night be of interest to the sleuths among us trying to connect the "planes, shaved legs, strong legs, maybe a wrestler, German accent possibly (4-2-77 male victim comment in Shelby)." There are even some Germanic influences, un-named wrestlers in masks, etc. Excellent photo collection. I found some back stories of people in the photos to be very interesting. And there is the lovely "Miss Sacramento Wrestling" from Ch. 40...LOL

Note to readers: I have checked this board's "wrestling" threads and comments (all were quite good) but you might want a second look at "professional" wrestling in NorCal in the mid 70s etc. Wrestlers sometimes flew their own small planes to gigs in their regions. Here's a story about some Tampa area wrestlers and a plane incident back in the day.
References:
1. Re small planes (and wrestlers) : "Just before McCord came back, Reed received his pilot’s license and bought a plane. That was normal for successful wrestlers at that time, Reed said. Tampa was the heart of Florida wrestling but performers had gigs in cities up and down the state and across the Southeast. A plane allowed them to make it to more shows and earn more wages and make it home each night, saving money on hotels. A plane paid for itself in the long haul, especially if others flew along and kicked in gas money. That was the deal on the day of the crash. www.tbo.com/news/wrestlers-recall-plane-crash-off-tampa-that-changed-their-careers-20150201/

Just adding some places to look and learn. Thanks for reading.
