Basically, he just went up and down W Meadow Ave, then on to W Paradise, then kinda made his way over to W Kaweah and hit there a couple times. He liked his weekends, and took advantage of a town that seemed to evacuate for vacation or sports activities.

Each and every one of the incidents that night were a full-fledged break-in. He took some earrings, cash from piggy banks, tossed underwear around, ransacked a kitchen, took drugs and alcohol, took ammunition, and took plenty of cash.

He'd hit a few times the night before, too -- he'd taken more ammunition, money, and did God-knows-what with one of the women's bras. 

His escalation that weekend helped prompt a massive stakeout for him on December 13th through December 15th. Sadly he slipped through their net, offending on W Cambridge, University, etc.

They tried again on December 21st through December 23rd and then another group doing December 22nd through December 30th. He continued to offend, going back to W Meadow Ave and S Oak Park and various other places that he'd already hit. 

This was definitely a frenzied time for the VR, and then he wasn't seen again for an entire month, and then he ended up skipping most of March, too.

The ransacker gained little media attention in 1974 with LE believing it to be the work of children. He gained notoriety with this spree but perhaps not as much as he liked as winters said he continued sporadically until the after new year before he slowed down.

The dissapearence of Jennifer Armour has strange links to this spree. Her dissapearence (like VR's ransacking) gained little media coverage and when she was found (like VR's ransacking was downplayed as the work of children) was reported (implying) an "accidental drowning".

Now lets say VR murdered Jenifer Armour.
I won't go into details but they are available if you care to look it up.
We assume he follows news articles closely because criminals like to follow their "work". Whether to see how close LE are or to glorify in his own greatness. How would the seemingly lack of attention to his "work" feel?

Imo he was angry that he went unnoticed he thought to himself "what is the best way I can get noticed?" he was practiced at murder but as he (at this point) was an oppurtunistic killer he couldnt guarantee he would stumple upon a teenage girl walking alone in the evening so he took the lower risk option that would cause him to get the most attention.

He started his spree on the day of the memorial of Jennifer Armour.

It's an automated word/language filter on the site that is finding the t-u-r-d portion and editing it out.  Every once in a while you see these weird *s in words.  That's almost always why.

The filter is interfering with communication of factual information. It would be far more desirable to delete offensive posts than to  force everyone to read that kind of nonsense.

Not really. The Zodiac's thing was misspelling words. Whether it was done on purpose has yet to be determined. The only abbreviations I can think of off the top of my head that he used was "Fry" for Friday or "Aug" for August.

I find the breaks in the VR series strange as the supposed SOLE individual responsible was always in the area working as a cop through the entire series. Why the excessive binges and then the fasting periods? Seems more like ‘Carlos’ waiting for an out of town friend and then when he arrived they made hay.
