When considering the map (punishment map that is) and a possible link to our suspect being involved in aviation, I have to wonder if his profession involved aviation cartography. The reason I believe this is because of the ability to identify a slope in the land.
Paul Holes found it interesting that the punishment map identifies a grassy area that is shaded indicating a slope in the land.
Maybe our suspect was a pilot, or it's possible he went up in the air with the pilot and took pictures of projects/developments from thousands of feet in the air.
This would also help explain the 22 hour gap between rape victims over 100 miles apart, and also the man who remembers dropping a man from the Davis airport off of the beaten path.
Weren't there also certain decals that involved aviation to some extent? Bumper stickers, etc?
Does anyone know if aviation cartography was a service that these builders used when developing subdivisions (residential side) or strip malls (commercial side)?
On a side note, I used to believe our suspect was very young (18,19) around 1976, but now after watching this 4 part ID series I think he was in his mid-to-late 20's when he started the rapes. That would put him around mid-30's when 1986 rolled around and he realized that in order to attack he had to revert back to selecting young, single, alone females (Janelle) just like he did 10 years before.
I think he was getting bored, that's why 3 crimes IN A ROW all involved loose ties on the victims (to give them a "chance") and to elevate our suspects game. Remember, he was looking for a reason to kill. A male or female breaking free would give him the opportunity to do just that.
Gosh, this guy is so insane I just don't see how nobody has a clue who he is. This is just unreal at this point.
