Where did the bloodhound trail end? I'm looking over this again and again after one of my posts from last night, and I'm not seeing what Shelby, Masootz and Winters are claiming.
Shelby in HAP says the bloodhounds tracked the offender to the UC Davis airport, but Masootz gives the location lost in Google Maps as "2705 Russell Blvd, Davis, CA 95616", which translates to the end of a nearby neighborhood. Yet, Masootz's location pin is located in the fields south of the residential address given. How close did they REALLY follow him to this airport? The Google Maps pin is pretty much out in the field. Coldcase-earons.com says:
On the same site, under the attack listings, the site author repeats what Shelby stated in HAP:
So which is it? To the airport or near it? Why the conflicting information? Why does Masootz put the location pin in the middle of a field? The offender was tracked to ONE and only ONE place. Why is that not the same place listed in all three locations? Forget quoting HAP, or guessing. Coldcase-earons.com very clearly states that he was tracked near but not to the airport, to a location where he could have easily secreted a car. Why is this location not revealed in HAP or Masootz's map? Why did Masootz not pin that location instead of the one in the middle of the field?
Time and time again I am finding that with this case, publicly-available information is either wrong or conflicting. It's hard to talk about the case in any depth because you do not know for sure the information you are repeating is false, misleading, incomplete, or in conflict with other information.

Attack #35: Bloodhound Trail: It's been confirmed through police reports and by two interviews of officers at the scene that the bloodhound trail did indeed lead from Rivendell Ln to a corner of the UC Davis airport. It's one of the longer escapes on foot (assuming he was on foot) that the offender undertook, but there were longer ones (the Harrington murders, for instance). The place where the trail ended did not seem to indicate that he boarded a plane. It was a place perfectly conducive to hiding a vehicle. Had he boarded a plane, it's likely that the trail would've led elsewhere on the property, unless he took his car to a different part of the airport.

HAP: A bloodhound trailed the suspect to the private airport at the University of Davis.
