Maybe he never had any business in Sacramento at all, and was willing to make long drives to familiarize himself with strange neighborhoods in a distant town long before he decided to strike there. We already know he was willing to do this. If I had to make a guess, he probably didn't crap where he ate, so to speak, which would have further helped him elude identification.
Yeah, that's really not true. Rapists are almost always marauders and operate initially from a nearby home base. Very, very rarely do they drive to far-off cities to commit rapes. I've never heard of such a case, except among truck drivers, and I doubt EARONS was truck driving through Rancho Cordova and Carmichael. Criminological studies have been done out the wazoo on this issue. The overwhelming majority of rapists start local. And EARONS began his rape spree wearing no pants, no underwear, further indicating via common sense he was from the neighborhood.
Really, I've already posted on this previously and it's like people don't read the actual studies and facts, they just make up whatever they want, like the claim that the Dana Point neighborhood was this tightly-clustered castle community that had one and only entrance when in reality it had a low back gate a mile or so from the bloody glove, across a desolate green space which if you do not know, is typical EARONS mo.
I also disagree the guy was insanely intelligent. Insanely intelligent people do not write semi-literate essays. EARONS was simply a guy who moved around a lot, prowling, praying on peoples' weaknesses, niavete and innocence. The overwhelming majority of serial killers/rapists possess baseline to somewhat above average intelligence. This guy was no different. Nothing he did was particularly brilliant. Prolific, yes, insanely intelligent, no.
In any case, he'll be caught, if ever, via DNA, a hot tip, or a re-examination of extant evidence.
