Hello,
I am new at this, and this will probably be my one and only post.
I have Asperger's Syndrome (AS), though I am high functioning. Two nights ago I watched 4 video's about the Golden State Killer (GSK) on Youtube.com, and it came to my mind that GSK has AS. It also came to my mind that GSK has consistently displayed skills acquired from military infantry training. If GSK was in the military during this period of his life, there is a strong possibility that he may have been diagnosed with a "Personality Disorder." AS was not well understood in the 70s and 80s, and was frequently diagnosed as a personality disorder. If the above hypothesis is true, and GSK was diagnosed with a personality disorder, there would be a record of the diagnosis on file, along with a name and social security number.
There were two specific incidents that convinced me that GSK has AS:
GSK was seen running across the backyard of a family home. A young man chased him into the street. The young man watched GSK become flustered, and began to behave in a manner which while puzzling to most, was very familiar to me.
GSK was running one way, would stop and then began to run in a different direction, stopped and repeated his behavior. It was if GSK was caught in a mental loop. The young man who was chasing him, observed this behavior for several minutes, and then charged GSK. This broke the loop GSK was in, as the charge created a new reality. This is common behavior for those who have AS. When under great stress, a person who has AS will engage in repetitive and compulsive behavior, which is inexplicable to most people. For someone who has AS this is not strange, but recognizable behavior.
One other incident happened which convinced me that GSK has AS.
GSK attacked a young girl who was at home alone. The young girl was waiting for her boyfriend to pick her up, and her parents knew that their daughter would not be at home when they returned. GSK attacked the girl, subdued her, and took her outside into the yard. He tied her up and gagged her. Then GSK, turned off the TV in the house, which the young girl had been watching. He cleaned up all evidence of the attack, and then removed the young girl to a secluded area and assaulted her. When the young girl's parents returned, they saw no evidence of foul play and assumed that their daughter was on her date with her boyfriend.
The stress that GSK was under at this time had to be incredible, but since there was no outside threat he was able to remain incredibly focused, and concentrate on covering his tracks, so no one would know that the young girl was in danger. This risk came with the reward of allowing GSK to spend more time with his victim. This is reptilian behavior, doing something with no empathy for the person being attacked, and being confidant in getting away with his crime. Many people with AS will display this type of cold blooded behavior, but not necessarily in criminal behavior.
A distinctive personality trait for those with AS is an unusual ability to focus on a particular task and be tactically and technically competent in successfully accomplishing the task.
I do not know if this will help, but I sent the above information via email to the FBI and the Sacramento Sheriff's Office.
Thank You
