I believe the Haskell's Locals were a informal group of surfers who surfed at Haskell's Beach. This beach is at the extreme end of Goleta, and was mostly undeveloped at the time. They and many other local Goleta/Santa Barbara people were very saddened when the area in back of the beach in the 1980s was turned into an extremely expensive hotel-resort called the Bacara Resort.EDIT: I misunderstood your question. In a few days I will check an old Polk Directory to see if there were Haskell family members living in Goleta in the 1970s.
The SB library has a complete set of Polk Directories; I'll check a early '70s directory the next time I'm there. (Arghh..I am off on 6/9 and 6/10 from work, but the downtown SB library is closed for remodeling those days.)
